Chronic Pain Patients, What Strains Work Best for You?

@ Fairlynew - Thanks bunches for those suggestions. Yep, couchlock Indicas are my favs. I've looked at the impressive reviews for blackberry Kush and Big Buddha, but thought they were were too big for the space I've got to grow in. If those strains were crossed with something like Betty Boo or Dr. Feelgood to bring down their sizes, it sure would help those of us who have significant space restrictions.

Nuggz may i make a suggestion figure out how to use at least a 3 by 3 by 5 feet tall grow cab in your near future so you can grow out the meds you need brother

My area is 3' wide by 5' long, but the ceiling area is only about 4'6". So it's the height that I worry about. With Photos, I figured I could top them when they were babes with about 4 or 5 nodes of growth and then supercrop them to keep the height down. But I've read that autos don't like high stress training and only do well with a little LST. I have an extra bdrm. I could possibly grow in and have full height available, but it's right off the living room, and to be honest, I'm afraid of the stink.

I know that some people with height restrictions have laid their pots down on their sides and successfully done their grows that way. That's also a possibility.

If you can get yer light as high as possible and I use to use a piece of string and a steel nut and bolt tie it to the end of the string tie it to the top and bow the top over until stretch stops when it starts to grow up retie the nut and bolt further up the main cola as the plant gets stronger and bigger use a bigger nut and bolt for weight. You should be able to grow a huge ass plant with just bowing the top. You might also get a squat Pheno that will be more than enough space

Yes, I've been messing around with lighting. I've got several 300 watt CFLs from past grows, but they've got mogul bases, so have to go in a big assed reflector that will really screw with the height thing. I just used them for side lighting with halides in the past, but I got rid of the halides and sure won't miss the heat or the godawful hum the ballests make. I've also got a number of 26 watt CFLs (100 watt equivalents). I've attached clamp lights to an adjustable metal shower curtain rod, and plan on getting some twin socket adapters for the clamp fixtures. The clamps don't really clamp that well, but I've used zip-lock ties to keep them in place and that seems to work okay. This way I'll be able to get the smaller CFL lights up as high as they'll go. I'd love to add a small LED UFO too, but I hear they've got to be at least 18" away from the tops. I'm still pondering on how to do that one.

I'm pretty certain I can flower out one big plant, or two small autos. I ordered Short Stuff's Dr. Feelgood for the Meds, and their Russian Rocket Fuel for a daytime smoke. Both are said to stay under 2 feet, so I went for it. I've also got a Chronic Lights photo coming in that get's maybe 4' tall. I'd sure have to bend that one over, but I ordered it because it had excellent pain relief reviews.

On the photo strain, I really like the idea of topping the plant when it's young. Folks say it makes a HUGE difference on yield.

I should add that when it comes to tying off plants, I'm just going to fill some empty 1/2 gallon milk jugs with water, put the cap back on and lay the jugs down on the floor of the tub on their sides. I figure I can use the handles to tie off to.

I tried that this summer with my barneys farm auto blue mammoth on her main tip...first I used a 8" piece of bamboo attached to a wire near the upper tip...didn't do anything, so I attached a golf ball sized rock and that made her bow...lol..until flower I just kept changing the position of the weighted wire while adding more stuff to weight her down...worked good to thicken the main stalk! nice tip man!

Hey nuggz..check out the microgrow section and you will see that many guys are getting their plants a lot closer than 18". Jackmc has some great flowers that have grown within 4" from the light on an old mars 300w panel, and also that close with other lights too!! I said screw it and bought 2 300w panels even though I only have 34" from top of the pot to the bottom of the lights.

I find skunk #1 and crosses to ease tension for sure as well. The biggest thing I love about skunks is it makes me want to do creative things. Excellent to fuel art I like to do.

My I have 6 back fractures & 3 in the neck, with various other broken bits & pieces. So far, of my favorites for pain:

SR60 x AK47
Pehkuruder x AK47
Critical Mass x Black Domina

A friend crossed BOG's Lifesaver with Black Domina, then sent me beans. For me, a so-so relief, but I have back-crossed to the BD again & have high hopes for this one.

Looking forward to trying the Dragon strains.

Thanks, GS, for a great thread.
