Great looking grow, I'm subbed. You and I are both at about the same point in our grows. You can go a long way just following @pop22 lead when it comes to growing. Between him, @archie gemmill and @bushmasterar15 you could write the book on indoor growing.

Yes you are indeed correct. Follow a leader with a proven track record. It would be a book full of real pics and experiences. I started by following Hansbricks. I read every grow he did with AutoPots and Advanced Nutrients. I knew if I put my ego aside and just do exactly as he did, well how could I go wrong.
Thanks for subbing along with me. I always try to remember that this is a weed and it will grow unless we kill 'em.

When I ran just coco, I used a PH of 6.3 start to finish and that was my best coco grow, I had no PH related issues. I've found running higher PH tends to be more stable.

I'm going straight MC this grow. My ladies are looking great. If that changes then I will adjust on the run.

Good to know. Thank you for all of your help and journals.

Are you asking about my grow?

That’s correct. I just wasn’t sure which journal Nosias was referring to with that information..... do you have a link to it? I’ll give it a read for sure.

This 5.8 for hydro has been bugging me for weeks. But every where I looked every single place said 5.8 for hydro. and Mine is the purest type of hydro too. What bugs me is that 5.8 is under the limit for Magnesium, Calcium and Iron. Today, I'm just trusting what I know and that is my phenomenal grows in the 90's used 6.3. Today I'm back at 6.3. And best of all, I've got an open root system so I can tell by the roots if there's a problem. I'm not expecting a problem.

I will now go off down a rabbit hole as I do a thorough search to see if I can find any science at all as to why hydroponic needs .5 lower pH than soil. Show me the money.

Thanks for sharing your info. I agree that it’s under the limit as well!

I usually shoot for 6 and then it drifts up to 6.3. Maybe just setting 6.3 would be best. I don’t have enough experience to be certain though. Sounds like you and @pop22 share the same ideas on PH

This forum is great for sharing info and learning. Love it! :bighug:

I too have long doubted the sensibility of running low ph, ie, anything below 6.0 it just never made sense to me. As you say why can soil run at 6.5-7.0 yet hydro a full point lower? I'll mention, though you may already know that one full point on the PH scale means 100x more acid or base! Lower PH can increase levels of pathogens that thrive in acid environments.
I've played with PH for 4+ years now and although my experiments are more anecdotal that scientific, I've consistently found better results and fewer problems at higher ph levels.

I look forward to your research findings. One thing I found was at least 3 different "ph range scales", all three of which were produced by different nutrient companies...
I'd like to see some scientific information for educational research!

I'll look back in the thread and get back to you. I'm juggling a lot of stuff right now lol!

Today is Oct 26, 2018.

I have 2 rez. I fill one and watch it go almost dry and then I fill the next rez and swap them out every time. I like to keep that rez CLEAN.

Today I mixed up another 12 liters from my tap. I will say I have an in-home water softener. The PH swings a lot from my tap. It was 6.8 this morning. I have seen a high of 9.5 on other days. The PPM from the tap is ZERO. I then weighed out 12 grams of Mega Crop and added it to the water. The PPM came out as 530 with a PH of 6.2. My ladies will continue to love it.

The FB Gorilla Glue is now a foot tall. It maybe stretching? (Joke). I raised the light to 50" above the coco line in the pots. All of the ladies are showing pistils and are just growing so great. This grow is really showing me how diverse each seed is. I feel that each one is able to be themselves in this grow. I will post pics on Tuesday, if I am able ....
