PH ISSUE!!! Advice needed pretty please!!
Hey folks My plants are 27 days tday. I've watered them with half strength canna vega at 7.0 and the run off was 5.7. It's been getting lower the last week or so and I have no monies for lime until next week so I decided to give them a flush. I've started on cream caramel and its had about 5 litres so far applied with a pressure sprayer slowly and the run offs still 5.7 :-/ Is there anything else I could use t get the PH up maybe? Ive only got about 5 litres of dechlorinated water left until tmora afternoon. Should I carry on flushing this one being as she's already Ben drowned or do you have any other advice for me? Appreciate all your help in my hour of need guys!!
Peace, Chandy.
Questions been answered folks. Should o just left em alone til I got the lime :-/ We live and learn.
In other news my kid decided t pick me a flower..... My 3 day old northen lights :,-( Little sod!! About a 3rd of the 4 inch-ish root is no more. This was about 5 hours ago. I replanted her and shes not yet showing any signs of death yet. Can anyone tell me her chances of survival and/or deformity? Cheers gang.
Today has definitely not been my day!!
A brew and a spliff are very much needed in my life right now!
Peace guys Chandy out!
I assumed that if I kept adding a higher PH it would wash out the low stuff n sort it out. I also assumed that a one time overwatering would be more beneficial than keeping an under 6 PH f a week n a half. That's the last time I assume anything!! She looks a right droop mess! Thank goodness f the live help thread (and the marvellous mr botwin). I'd be rockin in a corner hugging my uprooted plant by now otherwise, lol.
I still had a few inches o space left in the pot so I've added more soil n hopefully that'll absorb a lot of it n dry it up a bit faster. Still waiting on news about my northern too Hopefully shell survive.
What a day!!

We had a bit of an accident yesterday. And by accident i mean my kid decided to pick me a flower.... and as oppose t picking a daffodil out the garden he decided t pluck this little soldier out..... and when i say pluck i mean rip the 4 inch-ish root in 2!!! :'(
I whacked her back in the dirt and so far shes shown no signs of distress. This all happened 20+ hours ago so (touch wood) hopefully shell be alright.

Dont seem to be having much luck with this one.
Might just be that my APWC is going so well its seems worse than it is but shes not been right f a week or so.
Her growth is very stop start and it seems shes always got some kind of deficiency, overdose or underdose :-/
The APWC started off with these gold splodges but it hasnt really got any worse. Unfortunately for CC shes got quite a lot of them now.
I also noticed today when i took the pics that the very very tips of some her leaves (particularly newish growth) have gone yellow.
Her PH is whack and ive got no dolomite lime until next week so theres not a lot i can do about her ailments until then
I foolishly tried to flush her PH level yesterday thinkin a one time overdose would be preferable t lockout f a week.... and then i asked f advice... which was t definitely not do that :-/
What a pleb! (Massive thanks t AndyBotwin and the AFN live staff thread btw. You guys are d bomb!!)
Anyways, lets move on to my (up to now) success.

This girl my friends is a thing of beauty!! The pictures seriously dont do her justice (dont let the scraggly leaf ruin the image, lol).
To me she is anyway. Shes been a grower all the way though and nothing seems to faze her.
Shes had exactly the same treatment as CC (she got saved from the drowning yesterday mind) and shes caused me no aggro throughout.
She gave me a bit of a scare when i awoke t some kinda shredded yellowy leaves (over a week ago) but shes improved since then and all the while shes been growing faster than.... erm..... well... hmmmm..... i can only think of one thing faster growing but its not really the same. We'll leave that there shall we!! Unless anyone has any other thoughts
Well thats it f now folks.
Thank you all f taking the time to read and/or participate in my journal and an especially massive thanks to everyone who has helped me so far!
The help and advice i've received in the month or so ive been a part of the AFN family is incredible!
To AFN and all who enter her!! :-D :thank:
Chandy, Out.
Woops really had to chuckle at the kid picking the flowers. oh boy.
Chandy, what a lot of effort and great work!
you know what this looks like? a virgin grow!
Be patient, do things slowly, don't make impulsive decisions 10 o clock at night after reading something
You are doing well, just take things slow, as long as everything that goes in 6.5 you should be fine - measuring the runoff is only going to make you want to "fix" something that's not wrong when you get a reading you don't like - especially when the plants are already doing fine. It's ok to measure the ph for curiousity just don't get freaked out - my happy frog run off was 5.0 - plants grew great. Mind you this was a few weeks in and I measured the ph out of curiosity.
Your doing good chandy! keep them green! make sure to post in the infirmary if you can't get any help here - someone will answer.
