Time to get another SCROG going. I cleaned the tent and prepared the new pots. The seedlings just popped their heads above the soil.

SETUP
The setup will be as follows:
Tent: 60x60x120cm (2x2x4 ft) Homebox XS
Fan: TD silent 280/380m3/h running at 150V
Filter: Carbon active 300m3/h
Light: GN MS0006 with 6 rebel modules. 24/0 during veg and 12/12 during flower.
Soil: Atami Light-mix in 8L smart pots (gronest brand) with ~30% perlite mixed in except the Ortega Indica, which will have a 1.5l plastic pot.
Nutrients: Canna rhizotonic root stimulator, TNT complex(veg), bloom complex and phosphorus plus. Additionally I'm adding some Bionova microlife (contains beneficial microorganisms) and some GHE mineral magic (basically just a silicon additive). Will be using Canna mono Mg or Botanicare Cal-mag throughout the grow.
SCROG net with 5cm squares

I started as usual by dropping a seed each of Mazar, CBD Skunkhaze, Masterkush and Ortega Indica in a shot glass for 24 hours before putting them into the soil. I watered with rhizo and 1ml/l of Mg mono 0.5l per plant. After 3 days the Ortega Indica and the CBD Skunkhaze popped up. 1 day later the Masterkush and the Mazar showed up. I will call this day one for simplicity.

I put the Ortega Indica in a 1.5l pot just to get a sample of it, I can't really fit 4 plants so I'm hoping the Ortega will grow into a nice little single cola plant. I made some holes around the edge of the pot so that I can later strap it to the screen.

Hey DB
Great Choice of strains man.
Im subbed man im really looking forward to this.
Did you say you watered the soil before the plants popped above ground with rhizo?
Also just noticed that you have a TD silent extractor fan, and was wondering how do you find them?
Im looking into changing over from my Prima klima radial ventailator to them, whioch are loud but are only 125mm.
Which one have you got is it the 150mm version? Thats the smallest one i can find.
Was she heavy on the pocke if you dont mind me asking? im looking at paying about €215.00 for one.

Hey Grim,

Thanks for joining. I did water the soil with rhizo before putting the seeds in, are you not supposed to? I figured that you wanted the medium into which the roots will grow to have rhizo in it.

I have the TD silent 350/125. which is the 125 mm version. I'm really happy with it. Having a super quiet extraction fan was key for me, I need it to be inaudible from 1m away. I achieved that by additionally wrapping a blanket around the fan and stuffing the whole assembly into a cardboard box. I also have a 5 step transformer so that I can lower the RPM as well. If I put on step 3 you can not hear it at all, at step 4 there's a quiet airflow audible and at step 5 you can hear the air moving but it's still pretty quiet. You wouldn't normally think about it walking by the space where the tent is. Mine has been running for about 2 years now without issue.
I payed around 210 euros for mine. Worth every cent for me.

Thanks for all the information man.
Im going to get one for sure, they are expensive but worth it.
My set up has gotten pretty loud lately now that i have two grow tents in the one room.
Just would like to have it quieter just to be sure.

Regarding the Rhizotonic, plants that are 3 or more days old are only able to handle it from what i have read.
But if you have done this before with no problems i must be wrong.

Hey dirty budster, good vibes to you on the new grow, I'll grab a chair if that's okay.

Thanks for the info about those fans. I have a cheaper one in my tent, and it just seems to be getting louder and louder as the weeks go by, or maybe I'm just tired of it. If I upgrade any equipment next year, that will be the first thing to go.

Have fun with the new strains, bud :vibes:

You're welcome. If you want to get the noise level down I don't think you will be disappointed with the TD silent.

I didn't know that about Rhizotonic, I've always done it like that and haven't seen any issue because of it. Maybe it helps that the soil is a light mix.

Best of luck DB bro, im along for the journey too
:pass:

Thank you bro, I'm happy to have you along.

Thanks Hazy! It's nice to see you around again. I hope you stick around for a while so we get to enjoy some more canin action :smoking:

Day 4

Not too much add this time. They're happily chugging along. I was a bit concerned for the Mazar as it looked tiny and a bit miscolored but it looks fine now.
I gave them some water yesterday, about 0.5l each with Rhizotonic and 0.5ml/l Mg mono.

Woah! Little late here, room for a little one? It's looking rather nice, you'll have a full tent soon!

Thanks Derek, I think you're just in time, glad to have you along. I'm looking forward to having a full tent again. I think I will veg them for around 3 weeks this time to try and keep them slightly smaller than previous grows.
