Grow Mediums Cat tries the 1st Northern Lights grow in coco

This is my eldest Northern Lights auto. She’s 62 days old and is only around 15” tall, which is a huge difference to my second plant. The trouble is that she’s so mega bushy, it made managing leaf tucking and LST really difficult. Inside that bush, there are so many little buds, it would be impossible to count them

I’m unsure if I have a problem, but the hairs on the lower buds turned orange last week, although she’s not even near harvest. There are more new white hairs growing out this week. I’m unsure if this is the cycle of N/L buds or maybe I’ve stressed her out. I did read a couple of articles online that said this can happen up to three times during flowering of some strains. Does anyone know if this is true?

have you been moving her around lately or touching her? i ALWAYS mess up some of my pretty white pistils moveing them or brushing against them an then they turn orange but the bud continues to swell dont worry, if thats the case that is...

I dont hold pistils really all that reliable on telling when the plant is maturing. Sure, they turn brown in the end of the cycle but they can brown for number of reasons also. I do not even know if this is due to genetics or some enviromental factors but yeah, I have had some brown pistils really early too. In the end of the cycle of auto you can tell the maturity from the leaves as they start to turn up all kinds of colours.

Looks like you are doing a fine work with her! Some may not agree with me, but I tend to always defoliate my plants if they get even little bushy. That is if the plant is otherwise healthy and does not have any problems. It seems to be your plant could benefit from that too even at this late stage. It just seem so busy there. Too thick vegetation doesn't allow good airflow and tends to lock humidity in.

I think you're right, I prob have damaged the hairs while poking and prodding the poor girl, but they continue to swell. Thanks

Yes, I've been reading up on it today and now realise the hairs say little in terms of being ready. I have been trimming a couple of leaves every day, the plant was bushier than she is now, but maybe I should do a little more each day? Thanks for the input, appreciated
