Outdoor Captcold's Think Big Outdoor 2017

Sprouted 4 Think Big's for the outdoor this year. One week in, and while it *always* seems a little slow on the start, they are coming along well now. Taproots went diving hard. When I x-planted out of the initial 4" pots, 2 out of the 4 TB's taproots were already starting to loop around the bottom! Great vigor.

One of them had a heck of a time shedding the seed husk. I let 'er go, hoping it would have shed naturally. O've seen some people say it it can't, let it go to the big seedbank in the sky. Well, I couldn't pull the plug, and performed a little surgery. It's small, and behind the others by a while. But, hopefully will be a good team player, and catch up :D

Here's a couple of them, the 'lil feller, and some more various ones I've got inside for now. May 24 is the usual time here at 50lat to get them out. I've already been able to put them out for a couple of day of real sun when it's here...

Holy...what a difference a week makes.

I kept the Think Big's under lamp indoors until yesterday when they went out for good. I transplanted one into a 5 gallon pail, the other is going into terra firma today. I want to see a side by side - one in container, one in the big blue marble.

I took a shot of the one I haven't transplanted yet this morning, she was looking a little funky reaching up :clapper:

and, of all things....it's smelling gorgeous already. I've never had a plant start stinking at only a month old. This gal promises good things. Ima gonna get her into the earth today. Pistils!!!!!!

Update time!

Seeds have been in dirt now for a little more than a month, 34 days. I started 4 Dutch Passion Think Big's this year, because I've never tried their genetics, and I've heard good things consistently about them. They haven't disappointed.
