In hindsight I should’ve got the pen sooner. It’ll be a miracle if this one survives I think. Without knowing the true ph, I’m kinda stuffed.

You would be shocked at what they can survive, am trying to think of a quick solution for you so you can get an idea of pH without spending an arm, leg and left bollock on a pH pen NOW.

Even just a standard pH-only probe from a DIY or garden centre might be of more use, and, of course, the likes of Amazon or Bol should be able to give you "next day delivery", and even though it's going to cost more than ordering from China it's still going to be with you quickly enough to hopefully save things.

Its no as bad as you think.its real hard to kill a cannabis.ph is a lil off.flushing is rarely the answer, especialy on a wet/poor draining pot.a lot of stuff we cant change so work with it thisgrow

Without saying too much (for the sake of my security) I have looked high and low here and the only thing available to me were ph strips but they only read from 6.3-8 which isn’t ideal. I’ve resisted the urge to buy them as they were bloody expensive. Instead, I opted to keep the TDS pen and purchased a PH pen which should be here in another day or two......I’ll keep my fingers crossed and take my chances until it arrives. That, really, is all I could do anyway.

I’ll take my chances Archie, the best I can expect is a few dodgy grams of weed.......or it’ll die and I’ll end up with a few dodgy grams of something that can go towards some cannabutter or something. It’s not a total loss........yet!

my thoughts on a flush...a flush is X3 the pot size with water.i have never flushed,i sometimes feed 1L of water rather than 1L of nutes.i would only flush if i burnt the shite outa something.if ph is off make small slow adjustments during normal feeding times.lesser of two evils id take off ph over risking overwatering.

Cheers Archie, I was talking to a mate who said I should change the PH by 1 each watering until it’s where it needs to be. Sound about right?

Also, is it worth checking my runoff? TDS ect?

not much happens in soil quick, unless ya forget to water em and take a weekend off.dont panic the ph aint miles away,if we on the edge of overwatering.do nothing is maybe the best course of action over next few days.
to test the runoff ph a bucketload of water needs to go through, again what we dont want.the more you flush/plain water the more nutes/minerals are getting washed out.....whats common after overwatering ? a starved underfed plant.one thing leads to another kinda thing.tds dont tell a soil grower much, though its worth testing what ya tap water is mine is 160.
good luck n keep er lit.

Right now @archie gemmill, she doesn’t seem to be taking much water at all. I’ve popped her out of the pot to have a little look at the roots and also removed some clay peppbles that were at the very bottom of the pot to try and help her drain more easily. (I see now that they are unnecessary) she’s just about rooted that pot out but the roots aren’t exactly huge. Lots of smaller white roots.
It’s put my mind at ease with regards to any root rot, there’s none so I’m happy at that.
I’m beginning to think this is simply lockout due to my PH and nothing more. I’m guessing we’ll find out when the pen arrives!
Just tested my water,74ppm......much lower than yours, don’t know if that’s good or bad?
