Oh well, I’ll just put the kettle on for a nice cuppa tea and savour the thought of my return to sample city! :woohoo1:

I’ll take my chances Archie, the best I can expect is a few dodgy grams of weed.......or it’ll die and I’ll end up with a few dodgy grams of something that can go towards some cannabutter or something. It’s not a total loss........yet!

It's never a "total loss" for you always get that one thing that's the most valuable. Experience.

You might not be able to smoke it or eat it, but there's not a price that can be put on it.

@archie gemmill, here we go. A collection of shots.....as they would say on cr1me watch......please don’t have nightmares, do sleep well!
Also, take a look at my pistils, they turning brown? Or amber? That normal?
Just looks like it’s not taking anything from the soil and sucking all the nutrients from the plant itself. HHHHHEEEEEEEELLLLLLLPPP! Ma bitch is dying!

I'd be chopping these yellow and dying leaves off, they're not doing any good.

You said you popped her out to look at the roots, it's a shame you didn't put her back in a bigger pot, but you'll be getting your bigger pots soon so that won't be an issue again.

I see in your second grow you're using "crap supermarket compost". That stuff in itself may not be much of a problem, but if you can get your hands on some coco and mix that in with the compost it should weaken it and hopefully mean it won't be too strong for delicate little flowers. As said, it's always easier to add nutes than remove them. Also, when you have that AND the perlite you shouldn't have trouble with drainage.

There’s no worries on the compost front, and no worries on the drainage front anymore. Light mix is a totally different animal, no twigs, bark or any other crap in it......just light, fluffy, dark, beautiful soil. Almost brings a tear to the eye!

Oh, yeah, I found that out the hard way too, especially when a lump of housebrick fell out of the bag. That was a definite warning sign!

But we just been out to get another 40l of what I find works so I be happy, now just have to wait on the pots which I guess are in the queue at Zaventem...

It’s only decent soil for my ladies from now on, too many variables are pissing things off. Finally got my PH meter and calibration fluid. It turns out my tap water is 8.36 which, I think, is pretty high. My pots are goodness knows where?? They’ve not even left China according to the tracking.
I’ve started to gradually lower my PH and give little water often, seems she’s much happier now and it seems to have kicked off some growth again.

Christ, that's hard water, but once you get that pH in order the ladies will be very happy. I'm lucky, mine comes out of the tap at a perfect 7

Know what you mean about the pots, my tracking says they left China almost a week ago but since I always expect 2 weeks I should see some change next week. Also depends on the carrier, I learned that the hard way too...

It’s odd because the water doesn’t give us any limescale problems. In fact, there’s little to no calcium in it and I know that the water source is in fact very soft. I can only presume the PH is down to treatments or additives by our water board for some reason?

It depends on a lot of factors, the biggest one being the source as assorted minerals in the water can raise pH, doesn't just have to be calcium
