Indoor blackstar or cfls?

completely agree with the surrounding light theory....that speed devil #2 grow i mentioned about had lights on all 4 sides plus top lighting....and i had one branch in particular that grew a bud just as fat if not fatter than my cola...but my next project will be the true test on this theory.

thumper, use both! cfl's and a good led! thats what i do btw i use blackstar led's witch has the best bang for the buck

yah guys i mix led and both hps and t5 depending on strains. mixtures are the way to go and t5 is the best option IMHO

Thanks for all the advise guys, I think I will definitely go with a combo. I'm thinking 240w of Led and 125w of cfl would be enough for 2 plants?

this pic is from myold photo grow using led and cfl. i now have two more cfl's total of four. any combo is good as t shirt says t5 spectrum is also good. the more light the better

Hey greenthumper. That sounds like plenty of light for two gals. You could probably go for three or four but I'm not expert. And it depends on how you wanna grow. ie>Scrog, Sog, lst. And also the strain and how big you want/need it depending on your personal preferences and space. Hope this helped.

i would suggest a 100w t5 panel vs using cfl. heres a link to the t5 i like...

use the 2 footer if its over a plant and the 4 foot on corners of the tent to help.
