Hi guys, hope you’re all well. New to the forum, and like what I see so far, looks like there’s plenty to learn. I’ve done a few grows on and off in my time, but sold all my indoor equipment a few years ago. So with these hotter summers we’ve been having here in the uk I’ve had ago at guerrilla growing. On my First attempt My plants got bud rot I so had to cut early, the ground held a lot of water and the spot I chose had restricted air flow, so I’m pretty sure this was the cause, but beggars can’t be choosers.
I’ve now moved house, and have found myself a small grow spot close by, but out the way of other beings. So earlier this year I germinated the last two blackberry gum auto seeds I had remaining from a previous order. After two weeks I transferred the seedlings at my new site.
Before planting I removed a patch of topsoil, loosened the remaining soil to around 1ft and then amended the soil with a 50l bag of 4 month feed compost, suitable for vegetables and flowers. I then planted my seedlings and placed a bottle sleeve with copper tape around them to prevent slug and snail damage. Since then I’ve been visiting them once a week or two to give them a water, (depending on the weather) and so far so good. Another week or so and they’ll be coming down.
Overall I’m pretty impressed with the outcome, as I’ve only used the things I already had kicking about in my garage and shed. It’s mainly cost me my time, but a 10 minute walk to admire the plants and a few litres of water on my back is not exactly a chore haha!
Anyway, here’s a few pics, quality is not the best but you get the picture (mind the pun).
