Geezzzz... I read on one forum that a fella has to start growing his own because the stuff he can buy is too potent. Then, here you go LBH with the, "yeah sometimes I have a problem with my plants too" ... your big problem being: the occasion mutant appears that just produces too much good herb.

As a Dirt, I'm pretty ok with or without problems and, I am always grateful for whatever I do have... but what the heck!

But, when I think about it, if I had those kinds of problems, I probably wouldn't need the meds as much (for stress), which I guess would leave me with the same problem... too much weed... But, I would do my very best to improvise and adapt. :D

Most of us get our seeds through a seed-bank. The site-sponsored bank has a banner/link on the top of each page (dope-seeds.com) on this site. There is also a forum, on the main forum page, where you can read reviews of several different seed-banks. It's best not to use the address where your grow is happening, for the shipping address.

It's scary the first time but almost all of the time the seeds make it just fine. So far, virtually all the seeds intercepted, only result in a form letter informing you contraband was removed from your parcel, with no follow-up. No guarantees... but, that is how things have been going up to now.

All the best, bro. :peace:

As long as you don't buy TONS of seeds and they get confiscated you will not see any form of law enforcement at your door (USA only). You honestly can't help that someone else sent you seeds marked with a customs form as a "gift". It's not my fault if someone tries to send me plutonium either. Pretty much any seed company I have seen sends them this way so that you have no liability honestly if they get nabbed and send you a no no letter. It doesn't state what is in it either if memory serves me correct. It's more on the sender than anything. Notice how there is NEVER a return address? heheheheheehe

I KNOW IN THE WORLD OF AUTOS THERE ARE MANY AMAZING STRAINS ...BUT EVERY NOW AND THEN ..U GET ONE THAT SUX ..WE NEED THE EXPERIANCED GROWERS OUT THERE, ...WE NEED YOUR HELP TO HELP SPARE ..NEW GROWERS..BAD EXPERIANCES..STRAINS TO AVOID ..!!AS A FIRST TIME GROWER AND ..WHY..AND STRAINS THAT ARE WORTHWHILE ...AND WHY ..WE NEED YALL TO STEER THE NOOBS!!,...

I recommend you try a mix of several current strains, as they are more of a personal preference. What I like may not be what you like. I'd say - read up on the different strains, their effects, etc. do a quick search on this site and others for reviews - just type the name in the search box and see what comes up. Google works good too! Just make an eductaed guess and buy several strains. Grow them out see what you like. Autos are a bit more foregiving than photo, or at least the ones I have grown, so they are great for a noob!

Take other users' comments with a grain of salt, too. Not everyone has a green thumb and they can make a good strain look bad; furthermore, an expert could easily state a "difficult strain" was easy to grow....for him/her. So get a feel for whose stating what. But your best bet is to go grab some popular beans and grow.

Personally I like to support the vendors on the forums - so I'd have to recommend dope-seeds. Search their site and have fun doing it.

And to answer your question - my experience w/ AF is limited to this growing season, but I can tell you the Afghan Kush Ryder from World of Seeds was an easy grow, 100% germ rate, no problems, and boy is it strong with a creeper long lasting high. Yeilded great as well - each just shy of 1.3 oz dry and I tested a few nugs before curing so thats a conservative #. They describe the high as "Narcotic Almost Devastating" - screw the "Almost" part - it is devastating. Probably one of the strongest I have smoked in a while - and awesome taste and smell. Definately an after dinner smoke. I heard people whining about the Autos not being as potent as Photos. Well, they have obviously never grown a late model Auto. I like to call them "Arm-chair growers". They love to post about what they have read, and pretend to be an expert.

I have also grown Easy Ryder (Auto AK-47) from the Joint Dr. Very simple and fast grow w/ 100% germ rate. Healthy - yield looks larger than Afghan Kuh Ryder due to more branching and a fatter main cola. No smoke report yet. Should have something in a few weeks. Should be more of a sativa high. Also seems to finish quicker than the AKR. Can't wait to try it out.

Sad to say - tried Diesel Ryder from the Joint Dr. 0/3 on a 3-pack for germination. So no-dice for me. I think I just got a bad batch as everything else germ'd fine in that run. Those things happen, even to the experienced, so keep that in mind. I've read too may good reports on the Diesel Ryder that I will just have to try again, but in the mean time - check out the new seeds from Stitch. They have my eye.....plus he's on the boards here, so you can get to know your breeder. I think thats awesome. Best of luck to you and your grow.

Just wanted to let you know that im doing a diesel ryder grow, almost done actually. I am a newb but out of the pack of 5 only 1 seedling made it. 2 germed and wound up turning purple and dying, 2 others never germed. But i did have a keeper which is very nute sensitive. I haven't gone above a ppm of 530 the whole grow. But i smoked a nug and she is p.o.t.e.n.t. much like the afghan kush ryder you described except all heady. good luck in all your future grows!

Individuals giving their opinions of different autos should ALWAYS be taken with a grain of salt.I have noticed time and again, what grows awesomely for you, may not grow as well in my garden, and vice-versa.I believe its MANY things that dictate the end result of any grow, and no two enviromenys are the same.given the infancy that auto breeding is in, compared to the years of inbreeding and refining of photos, these enviromental differences make a bigger impact on final results than their photoperiod cousins, due in part to the lack of stability still in autos.I love the concept of autoflowering marijuana and know with time, they are just getting better and better until, at least I think, they all but totally replace photos.

Now this is something that it totally agree on. Autos replacing photos. It will happen.
