Pehkuruders

Because ive found to have too many hermies in the line to bother with making a lot more pure seeds. The pehkuruder seems to have a tendency for turning from male to female. Also we seem to have had some test grows with a disproportionate number of males. Male to female ratios on some grows has been as high as 70% males.

It really is a shame since ive seen this strain perform really excellently. There are some phenos in the pehkuruders that has such an explosive bud growth and packs on so much weight that ive never seen anything like it. Ive seen this strain produce 20gram main colas and im not exaggerating, a friend of mine grew 6 females earlier this year and got 350 grams of solid dry bud from them, over 50g avg?!?!!! I saw it myself or i wouldnt have believed it because he is not a very accomplished grower. They simply exploded for him and just kept producing bud like ive never seen before until the whole plant just looked like a solid bud star on a stick, branches and all just solid with huge buds.

This is interesting because it seems to be the more hemafrodite leaning phenos that has the potential for this type of insane bud growth. The hermie phenos are much taller then the non hermies, they grow more vigorously and seems to have an ability for producing more bud. Its hard to explain, the taller pehkuruder phenos often shoots a single male pollen sack on the fourth branch node. Usually this is the first preflower it shows before it starts producing only female flowers. This often leads to a lot of "females" disguised as males getting culled early which could account for the disproportionate number of males in the test grows.

It kind of looks like the tall pehkuruder phenos start out as male and then turns female upon reaching sexual maturity or when they go into flowering. Some tall pehkuruder males will turn fully from male to female around 3 weeks into flowering. Some males seems to complete the male lifecycle as males before turning female only after they are finished flowering as males. They will turn female when they should really die. The recent observations are done in an outdoor environment where the plants are subjected to extreme climatic stress.

I found these observations interesting, i dont know what of make of them at this point, but i thought id share the info since i know there are some very competent peeps in here that may find it interesting aswell. :)

Mby i should have put it in the breeders forums, but then again it may be of some interest to the general public too that there is infact hermies in the pehkuruder line. So you all dont go out of your ways to get a hold of them and grow them only to be disappointed.

indeed i found it too in the Pehkuruders same as the thaipan2.0 (only thaipan have a difrend way of hermie show in begin hermie so easy too spot them and not lot of risk )
what i see with those strains that they doo outdoor great no hermies
i have crosst them with auto haze and the hermie from pehkuruders and thaipand are past on les but still show somtimes but outdoor they dont hermie with me ,how you findings on this?
indoor hermie outdoor not?
(still i find the pehkuruders and thaipan2.0 crosses i maked great for outdoor :toke:)

meabey i will bring some auto haze X thaipan2.0 crosses for the outdoor growers becorse there smoke is great!

hope every thing is good with you long time not heard from you

peace

(i hope i type good becorse i verry verry high on auto haze lol!)

I understand you just fine, even if your typing isnt 100% :D no prob hehe.. ive just been a bit busy this summer, plus i dont have much growing atm, not much new to show just yet.. so thats why im not so much on the boards. Trying to make some crosses outdoors this summer, but its cold so its hard to get the pollinations to take & the males dont drop a lot of pollen either.

My guess is that the reason why they herm indoors and not outdoors has to do with the lights. Can i ask, do you flowerthem indoors under a 24/0 regime? If you do, that may be the reason why they herm indoors and not outdoors. :P

I havent tried any of the thaipan crosses yet, but they are high on my list, thaipan x auto haze sounds ace :)

bro pm me for thise type of seeds

you have hermie on pehkruruders outdoor and indoor?

peace my friend

thanks buddy, ill pm you later ;)

yes ive had herms on pehkuruders both indoor and outdoor, but ive been selecting the taller pheno so i think the herm trait is much more prevalent in that line. Other lines have less herm i think.

tall & short pehkuruders outdoor @ 70 north, 2011

short pheno, i think ill try to pollinate this plant alltho its a little late in the season now, she seems to be very productive, i havent seen any herms on these short pheno types..
