best yielding strain of these two?

LST will definitely increase yields. But I’ve found it best to not be as aggressive as early as I used to be.

In my current grows I'm trying not to be as aggressive with training as well. By forcing myself to be patient, I have an auto in stretch that's bigger than one I just harvested so I'm optimistic. Of course it's a different strain, so who knows...

I just started a double grape seed grow in 2 gallon pots. I know that's small for a final pot but it's larger than I usually start with. There are five plants and I'm going to experiment -topping some, LST for some and I might let one just do its own thing so I can see for myself how well the plant does with different training styles. It's all for seed anyway...

In the past I've always started in small pots and incrementally up-potted. A 50 shades of grape I chopped today looks like it netted me 1/4 ounce and it's in a five gallon pot. It might be more - mephisto autos produce super dense buds that always weigh much more than I'd think after drying.

I have very little space and stay close to my plant limit, so it's hard to plant in the final pot, but I'm sure that's part of my problem.
Maybe time to try bigger pots, and less plants. I used a 2 x 4 closet with 3 plants, I didnt get fancy with LST or anything, I had to throw one outside, which then took off like a beast and was bigger then my indoor plants, but we had a really rainy and humid summer, and 3-4 weeks from harvest I had to destroy her due to every dam bug that walks this planet and bud rot. Your a lot braver then me, I'm only going to try topping this next grow. I'll learn LST later.

I'm going to be watching your grow, cause I will be starting mine right around the time you finish.
It isn’t all about yields. But I firmly believe that you can have high quality AND heavy yields. And after all the time, electricity, etc. involved a bigger yield of a high quality flower is ultra rewarding. So I’m always looking at ways to push what I can personally do with autos. They can be a very challenging thing to grow. More challenging than a photo. Which is what I love about it. Growing autos has taught me so much about gardening in general.

My motto now is heavy veg = heavy flower. And the things that I have found to achieve that is larger pots, and not jumping the gun on the training. I used to be that guy who was bending and topping when my plants were like 4 inches tall.

My next grow I am planning on doing two normal size 7 gallon grow bags, then my third will be my home made 5 gallon bucket wicking pot, and using a tall 5 gallon bag as kind of a liner. All I'm thinking is cleanup with #3, cause truth be told, I been known to puff a few, and I'm not mister energetic all the time.
With my current stock it's all nap time....Want to get these done and seed run over cause just landed DP auto and Red Congolese auto...if true to form they will be game changers in my area.

I've been bending autos over the whole time because that was recommended. But I think I've been starting too early and stunting the plants. I read here somewhere about people who are having great results topping. Now's the time to do some actual experiments on 5 of the same strain. :)

I have a 2x4 homemade cabinet for flowering photos, and a 2x2 tent for vegging that my auto was spending the night in but it's been spending days on the balcony. But my wife had an outdoor shed for wintering over tomato and chile plants that she's not going to use this year. It's got about 8x10 space and a 1000 watt HPS, and I ordered a COB LED light to go with it and feel like a pig in a nice warm pile now.

If you look at my grow thread that I linked earlier, there’s some photos in there of how/when I begin training. Not claiming to be the second coming of autoflower growers. But I do find that it’s beneficial to wait a bit to start. Within reason of course. Hopefully something there will help.

Maybe look into an arizer solo vape to save your stash you use .2 at a time for 5 ten minutes. If your in America vapor.com had the silver one for 50bux with coupon code don't know if it's still on sale but you can look around the web. Just my 2xents @Mara Cachafa @Fermented_Fruitz @Kyote

I’ve never looked into air pots much. Are they generally taller than their fabric counterparts?
Most plant pots, whether fabric or rigid, have much the same height:widith ratio. This is likely for a reason, probably the best proportions for most plants and grows.

Air-Pot height can be easily adjusted. Just cut the plastic to reduce height. To increase height, cut a strip the proper size (such as cut a like-size pot side in half) and 'bolt' that onto the base Air-Pot by overlapping a row. Keep in mind, fabric pots can be similarly modified too (cut down or sewed together)..
