best yielding strain of these two?

FB Zkittlez can grow to be pretty big. But it doesn't like too much heat, and I find it doesn't like as much light as others. If you're in an area where your temps are high - above 85 F - I would wait for zkittz. If not, then you should be good to go.

Try not to chase yield though. Just my personal opinion. I grew a GSC auto that yielded 15 oz dried and trimmed and I'm constantly comparing everything to that. And trying to replicate it. Not a bad thing, but sometimes it can get in the way of just enjoying what you have.

I have seen posts by a couple of people about these godlike yields from autos. 15 oz is impressive! I'd be ecstatic to get four ounces, because my all-time high is two and I've always done much worse with so-called elite strains.

I've got an Orange Sherbet going that I think will beat that. I have a thread over in the indoor grow section documenting it that you can check out. IMHO it comes down to a couple things. But a larger pot seems to be my biggest "trick". I'm trying a 10 gallon right now. But in general, a 7 gallon is probably my favorite. 10 gallon can get a bit unruly. But something I wanted to test.

I spent a lot of time learning to grow autos with seeds from less expensive breeders, before I spent "bigger $$" on the so called elite stuff. I find some of that stuff is ok, some is great. And other stuff...maybe it's just me and I need to dial in growing that strain? On the other hand, there's a few breeders out there that aren't jamming IG all day with posts, who just breed great seeds.

My 1st grow was in 5 gallon pots, but I am moving up to 7 gallon this next grow. People do seem to swear by pot size giving bigger plants. And I dont have the experience to argue, so I'm gonna bide by that rule until I get enough grows under my belt to draw my own conclusions.

I'm in the northeast, so this next grow will be an indoor winter grow. I'm thinking my tent should be in the low 70's.

You should be fine. Just keep an eye on the light levels. As far as larger pots, yes I tend to find the bigger the pot the larger the plant. Within reason of course. I wouldn't put something like a Lowryder in a 10 gallon. Or maybe I would because I'm nutty like that. But knowing the strain and if it has the tendency to go large is beneficial. Zkittlez will be fine in a 7.

It may not even be the size of the pot that affects yield as much as the depth of the pot and how long it takes the taproot to bottom out? Like a 10 gallon pot is taller than a 7, etc. I was going to play with a 10 gallon tall pot but it's just way too top heavy. Maybe I will grab some 7 gallon talls down the line.

I was going to try those tall grow bags, i'm surprised they arent more popular.

The problem I discovered once I got a 10 gallon tall filled with soil, is that it would have been super easy to tip over. Especially once you had a large plant in it. So I ditched the idea for the time being. I may put one outside with a pepper in it or something to see if it will tip.
