New Grower Auto White Widow and Purple Kush grow journal

Day 88 update:<br />Buds finally starting to fill out a bit. I cut out almost all nitrogen because I was treating my big white widows for nitrogen toxicity. But I'm thinking it may actually be light burn my lights are a foot away from the tops of it but I can't get the light higher in my grow space and since it is the tallest plant out of 4. I also did some super cropping by squeezing and bending the tallest tops on it to get it further from the light. The other white widow and 2 purple kush plants look good. Waiting for I new lope in the mail to check out the trichomes. Not sure how much time I have left on them. Any thoughts are appreciated!

Hi Chris.

Nice garden.[emoji271]

You are getting some great guidance from some experienced gardeners I look up to here on the Ol' AFN..

Thanks for tagging me in.

I am also working on patience building skills.

My Mazars are pushing 90 days. Still filling out. Sour Crack day 75. Watching trich's.
They have had a bumpy ride so I didn't expect an early finish.

Nitrogen comes and goes in the Conservatory. My SC's showed the claw in veg, then all my girls show chlorosis at flower. Addressed pH (organic soil). Tried CaMg, P, MgSO4. Azos, Mycos, AACT, full bloom nutes.

Trying FeZn next 'cause I haven't yet. (Not organic I don't think... Oh sh*t....) No one will know..... Don't tell anyone, ok!

Got 3 more plants in that first soil mix. nice n' green so far.... historically f*ed. Sad more than anything.
I'm switching to BioTabs.
Less drama with the Mama's, hopefully. Lol

Light burn I experienced last week but caught it early. Leaf bleaching. Upturned tips. Dessicated Leaves. Nugs OK. Manufacturer said 30". Not 27". I had to push it a little. It's my nature. Ha. [emoji48][emoji56]

Super cropping . Oh..., the early LST I tried. Lol. The White Train needed it to stay safe from light burn.
MBAP I did cause I liked the even canopy look of TWT. I bent the top over just below the side colas and tied it with shock cord.

Keep up the nice work , brother.

CTb1 looking at the trichome is how you determine if the plant is mature or not!

Those are nice clear pictures of different stages of trichomes thanks Man O green. Haven't got my new loupe in mail yet but I checked them out with a regular magnifying glass and WW's looking 40% cloudy and 60% clear with the chance of a snow storm coming soon :yay:. Purple kush still 90% or more clear.

My PH is ranging 5.6-5.9 in 3 Gallon DWC

Well shit I guess I need another toke:pass:

3 gallons is a small amount of water to try to keep a balance in. so it would be easy to lose a gallon which would increase the PPMs by upto 50%. You can do this, I have. So I had nutrient burns and deficiencies in those grows. So what. The thing is I got good meds, learned a lot, and had fun with them.

Keep up the good work she is going to reward you with some awesome buds!

Than makes since Man O green :pass:
If my buckets drop a gallon or more it would increase PPMs to the point the dose isn't the original stable nute mix I made during the bucket change. You thing I could still get nitrogen burn if the mix I'm using at this point has minimal nitrogen %? I have been keeping a closer eye on water levels, and topping then off more frequently with PH'd RO water.

Also I have this guy in the picture sneaking into the grow Everytime I turn my back to eat the leaves of my plants! Lol Mufasa my Savannah cat!

That is a beautiful cat and I will bet a stealthy predator! :kitty:

When I make an adjustment to my nutrients I try to adjust them all in proportion keeping in mind "Leibig’s Law of the Minimum" the only exception to that is for Cal-Mag which I will supplement a little beyond the equal proportion of the others.

One thing I have learned over the years is that all of the different nutrient system will grow excellent meds if you follow their regimen completely. If you start picking from several brands and adding this and that you are going to have problems. I have used one of the least expensive brands Dyna-Gro with stellar results. I use the whole system only adding HydroGuard and more recently Mammoth P. I have had such good results that it took generous free samples of House & Garden to get me to change for my current grow. I think I have enough free nutrients to do 2 complete grows in the new rockwool block system I am experimenting with. I won't hesitate to go right back to Dyna-Gro if I am not wowed by these plants! The point I am trying to drive home here is to just settle down on a brand you like and utilize their entire system. Unless they have specific feed recommendations for DWC start at 50% strength and go up or down from there by listening to your plants.

So far GH Flora duo A & B has been a good base for me with CALiMagic.

Once I got later into flower I introduced Kool bloom and GH Flora necter and bud candy. I dropped the Flora duo part A since I was giving koolbloom. I think my mistake was giving the Flora duo part B and koolbloom. I have always went with the minimum dosage through this grow. I'm going to have to restock on nutes cause I got the smaller bottles this round to see what I like and didn't like so I will take your advice when I get there next batch going and see if sticking closer to same brand nutes helps me out with my few little issues

So tonight I was typing off my buckets and just happen to check out tichs and this particular purple kush has about 20% Amber trichomes and I haven't started flushing. What should I do? Chop her tonight or flush with RO PH'D water for 3 or 5 days?
