I was originally going to do a CO2 bubler just like Gbears but when I got my exaust setup put in the box i found it pulls air way to fast throgh the box to have CO2 be effective my fan and filter refresh all the air in the box about every 15-20 seconds or less keeps great air flow though

the healthy sprout is now in soil it had about one and a half inches of root hanging out of the bottom of the rockwool plug, the transplant went well hopfully with very little shock if any to the sprout. the second sprout (the one that was nute shocked) seems to be doing a little better I will be transplanting it sometime tomorrow probably if all goes well with its recovery, when they are both transplanted I will post pics. also I will be checking the root on the seedling that got the clone gel then got nute shocked. I am sure that it is not going to recover and I am curious to see how the seedling responded to the clone gel before it got shocked, weather or not it started to re-develop its root system before i shocked it with the nute water. should be interesting to see if it has roots.

so this is interesting, the damaged seedling that recieved the rooting gel before it was nute beurned did indeed attempt to regrow its roots, when I opened the cube I found a 1 cm long root coming from the dead sprout. this confirms my idea that rooting gel can effectively be used on seedlings, perhaps on the next grow i do I will experiment with some rooting gel on one or two sprouts, not sure how i will do this yet but it will be my next experiment. the other sprout that was nute burned seems to be recovering well in the pure water its root leaves are much greener (the tips are yellow with nute burn but the main portion is green) tomorrow I plan to transplant it into a two liter bottle as well.

the four larger plants are doing very well I increased the nutrient ppm in the resivoir to 390 and the responces from the plants are good.

@ Androth, yeah, the switching between systems could be difficult at different stages. I'm going to have to flush my Lil Bee much earlier than the others, I'm gonna pull her out and into a shoebox that takes up her original space in with the plants. That's what I'm gonna have to do, with soil I'm worried I'd shock to much and it would take longer to flush correct (complete thought process not backed). It'd be neat to see if your method worked well too. Almost for what your wanting to do, it would seem ideal to have two or three smaller systems on the same pump.

@CDC, your's may be hotter. I need to see at what ppm a high dose fo grow masters runs at for ppm and you can find out your ans the difference should tell us how "hot" the difference could be and it would be super nice if we could do that between nutes so we know how much ppm difference we should account for between nute brands to get similar results.

its more an issue of space than simplicity as to why I went with a transplant into soil, also the added mobility which will allow me to place them out in the sun durring the bright days. also if the transplant happens before the roots comes out of the rockwool then there should be very little shock as the water should leech a lot of the stuff from the soil into the cube to allow the plant to acclimate slightly.

the damaged sprout still seems to be recovering, today I transplanted it, there was no root showing outside the small rockwool plug, also the top part of the plant was very unstable this led me to believe that the nute burn killed a large portion of the root structure, as it killed about 50% of the seed leaves, I cliped off the dead parts of the seed leaves with finger nail clippers and then I thought about the one seedling that lost its roots entirely before its seed leaves opened and it had absolutely no green on it, it was not able to photosynthesize, but yet it still grew out a 1 cm root before dying. this put an idea in my mind that maybe I could put a very small ammount of clone gel onto the stem of this sprout just below the surface of the rockwool. I did this today as I was transplanting the seedling to help bost its root growth and stabilize the upper structure. i did this by pulling back some rockwool arround the base and using a tiny brush i put a tiny bit of the gel on the stem below the rockwool, then re-covering it. this should allow this seedling to recover its root system faster and acclimate to its new environment with less shock. I base this assumption off the fact that it is designed to be used to root cuttings that have just gone through major trauma being cut from its mother then getting additional shock bieng transplanted at the same time, and off of the effects I have seen of root gel on the previous greatly damaged sprout. I feel confident that this will help the seedling recover from its nute burn and its trasplant. only time will tell though.
here are some pics

The first is the recovering sprout the second is the 2L bottls in the grow box the third pic is several earthworms that found while harvsting some of the soil that I used for the soilmix, the ones shown here went into the 2L botle with the healthy sprout the new 2 bottle with the damaged sprout also has about as many earthworms in it now as well, I think i got pretty lucky finding the worms and they should help the soil in the containers to stay aerated and fertile and organic.

the four larger plants are doing great as well, I will put up more pics of these four later.

all plants seem to be happy, the healthier sprout is making a umbrella shape with its first leaves, I think it is still getting used to the soil as it was transplanted with 1 1/2 inch of exposed root, the recovering sprout seems to be responding well to the root gel, it is slightly more stable in its stance this morning and much greener at its top core.

the larger plants are all three weeks old now (from the day I started germinaton) IL Diavolo #1 has shown me today that it is female and I beleve AHK#2 will also show me its sex today, there is growth that looks to be it showing its sex, however the growth is too early and too small yet to tell. Will post new pics once my brother gets home with the camera.

they are starting to grow really fast now here is a pic of the four older plants, the IDs are in front and the AHKs in back.

Aslo some great news Both of the AHKs showed female today, All four of the plants in the DWC unit are female, now im hoping that one of the two I have in soil ends up being male so I can cross the AHK and ID.

I will be going camping this weekend as well so the next time I will look at them will be Sunday evening, given that ID#1 grew 1/4 inch in 14 hours over last night, I am expecting a lot of change in them and hoping the sprouts do well while I am gone.

AND..... THEY'RE OFF! Looking good brother. hitting that growth spurt and showing sex. It seems they even hit it before my 2. They were starting to shoot actual flowers before the extreme growth. Your's may be some fast finishers.
