I dissected the main cola and there was more mould then was showing

Pretty much all the top bud was mouldy that was near the stem, probably 20% was ok

but managed to get a little off the plant that was mould free

With the weather outlook i'm gonna cut the other tomorrow

That's the spirit mate, just jump back in the saddle and get the next round growing.i think with autos were good in the uk until at least oct when the clocks go back, even then as long as there's no frost I think they will still do ok,mossy grows his through winter in around 10 hours of daylight and low temps.we have grown without much sun all summer and it's only been mold that's defeated us,the plants themselves have grown pretty well so it's a positive to take from this grow.im gonna throw some more dragons out around early aug and just see how they do running into oct..but I'm firing up the indoor tent just to guarantee me a harvest too :smokebuds:

Cheers C, the weather is shite, last year we had a good spring, this year weve had a shite spring and summer so hopefully a good late summer/autumn
After having to sell my reef tank when I moved into this house i've kinda enjoyed the low energy bills but a tent with a 600w is on the cards ;-)

Chin up villain. Better days ahead! Now you got some real energy buds now to keep you on your toes till the next round finishes. :howdy:

lol, I did flash dry a air bud in the oven and got a kick! so looking forward to a bit of cured smoke, thanks Noods

Decided not to chop the other plant just yet, weathers still shite but this one looks a completely different plant, no sign of mold and a lot more healthier looking than the other?

Nice mate glad you decided not to chop she looks v healthy :smokebuds: take a look at this mate it's kind of a preventative to bud rot http://www.growell.co.uk/bud-rot-stop.html not sure how well it works but it could be worth a shot bro

Just chopped the other as mould was showing, once again it was the top buds around the stem, the top 50mm of stem just snapped off it was so rotten, there was only a tiny bit of grey showing from the outside of the bud.
I don't think a external visual is quick enough to spot the fungus, by then it's too late so on my next grow i'll be pulling the top bud apart and looking at the covered stem

With the yeald that I got i'm not sure this is going to make it through the cure :toke: so this is probably the last pic of my grow

Not as much trichs on the leaves as the other but better buds, shame I couldn't get a couple more weeks out of her.

Anyway, every dark cloud has a silver lining, I got some new beans from a fellow member :D
Just got a few jobs around the house to get out of the way ( various contractors visiting) then I can get on with my next grow

Edit - Just to add, I think it's important to say that the weather in my lat. has been very wet for most of the grow, i'd hate for anyone who's not read the whole thread to think it was the strain
