Ok so WJ1 & WJ2 are girls, WJ3 (the most robust of the 3) has not shown sex yet and I suspect it is a male.
I am hoping I am wrong about WJ3, but if I am not, it will be time to learn about breeding & producing some seed on my own.
The AKR's have me worried a bit as I put them in the soil 6 days ago and the first one just popped yesterday and the cotyledon has not opened yet.
Keeping my fingers crossed as I really want to make some hash out of the AKR's.

I am a little disappointed with things, but not overly so, I had hoped for a more robust grow with this attempt.

So, the AKR's did not make it for some reason. sigh.....
One did not sprout, one sprouted but died before the cotyledon fully opened.
The Jems are a mixed bag.
I have one handsome prince( WJ3), one diminutive princess (WJ2) , and one ugly duckling (WJ1)
The handsome prince has been banished from the grow box to a cardboard dungeon, where he will be tortured with neglect & little light until he releases his pollen, which I will collect and hopefully use to pollenate some lovely girls in the future.
The diminutive princess, ah, what to say? She seems a bit small to me. The leaf nodes are very compressed and she looks like she want to be a single cola, but I have raised the led from about 17 inches to about 21 inches above her top today. I think maybe, I waited just a bit too long before giving nutes as those lower leaves did turn yellow. She is on full strength EJ nutes as of yesterday.
The ugly duckling? WTF! After popping the first day in the ground, she didn't produce a single leaf for over a week, now what she has produced is obviously deformed, but I am not inclined to kill her. She looks to have at least two colas forming. We will see.
I am going to start germming a couple more seeds today, as two relatively small autos in the box is not going to cut it.

Grumblegrumblegrumble!
I had high expectations for this grow, perhaps too high.

The AKR seeds have not successfully germinated, the last one developed fuzzy growth on the outside of the seed while soaking, which may have been the problem with the first two. The fuzz growing is puzzling as I usually only see that type of fuzzy growth in cool temps (which we definitely are not having!) I pulled off what fuzz I could and hit the seed with some H2O2 and put it back to soaking to see what it will do.

I have 1 60Day wonder in the ground and 1 Kush Van Stitch in the ground.

The White Jems aren't doing terrible, just not as robust as I had hoped.
The ugly duckling & princess just seem to be smaller than they should be, the handsome prince is thriving despite being neglected and getting virtually no light.
I am not sure what the problem could be with the girls, ph is good, temps are fair, soil medium is good, not overfeeding/watering.

Pic UpDate Day 40

Busy frigging last few weeks as those of you in college are all too aware of. 5 in my house attending, including me & my wife. DAMN!
Well, apparently luck & providence are having something to do with my attempt to get autos going.
I am just not sure if my expectations are unreal or what but @ day 40 I really expected much more out of the JEMS, they aren't doing terrible, they just aren't thriving in my opinion.
The KVS broke ground in a sprint, we will see how it does, no pics of it as it is just a seedling.
Got zero successful germination from the AKR, 1 of 3 cracked but it died almost as soon as it breached the ground, the other two just grew fuzz. I cleaned one of them off to see if it would crack, 10 days later nothing. I am going to email ALIBONGO and see if they are willing to do something.

I don't know what advice anyone can offer, H20 is phd after nutes are added, Not over watering, Temps are warm but within reason hovering in the mid 80's, soil was Sunshine #4, Nutes are Earth juice.

I had a couple of extra minutes this morning so I took a few extra pics.

The only time I've seen that fuzz on my seeds was when I've tried to germ some old seeds. I just recently tried twice to germ some old White Russians I had and the same thing happened. All were covered like that, some cracked but nothing grew. So that's got me wondering if they didn't sell you some old stock.

Your lack of height has been a bit stumped. After the success you had with your photo plant I also expected to see you auto grow do much better. I've not used the EJ nutes but your plants look healthy, good color, so I wouldn't expect that to be the issue. I'm wondering about your temps. If you're consistently over 85 that very well could be an issue.

The temp could be the issue Muddy, as 84-88 seems to be the temp spread.
I doubt I can do much to change that right now. The growbox is in an outbuilding and the box is running about 5 degrees above the ambient temp of the outbuilding.
Well, Like I said, they aren't doing terrible, they just aren't thriving. I am curious to see how the KVS is going to do. If it stays small, then we can probably bet the temps are the issue as I cannot imagine what else could be.
The nice thing about that is, I am doing some significant remodeling that will get my office out the the damn bedroom, the new office will be air-conditioned and it has a secret room! which will have the benefit of being cooled. So that issue will be resolved.

Well, The diminutive princess and the ugly duckling (both White JEMs) continue their slow growth.
The color of the leaves seems to indicate some sort of deficiency, I am thinking maybe a bit more "N" maybe? Or does it look more like a Zinc or Manganese deficiency?
Ph is good, so i don't think there is any lockout, just the need for whatever they are craving.
If you recognize the deficiency, please give me a heads up. I am using a full spectrum of EJ nutes for this grow.

The KVS is the newest addition to the growbox. She is 14 days old and already almost as tall as the diminutive princess.
Color looks good, node spacing is fine, she seems like a fairly vigorous girl.

On the AKR front. I contacted Alibongo about the germination issue I had with the WOS AKR seeds. They expressed surprise that I had experienced the problem, but have apparently shipped new seeds out to me. If the shipping goes as well as it did for the order, I should receive them this friday or Sat. When they get here I will post up that experience on the ALIBONGO merchant review thread I started as people need to know these guys go the extra mile for their customers!
