It works well in soil less mediums, just check Jackal's grows. He's growing in unamended Pro Mix. You'll need to know the ppm of your water first. pH Perfect is designed to work with RO water but will also work with any water source that has low ppm, below about 100 ppm.

an ph perfect seems to be perfect -- just a little pricey.
will definitely keep this in mind once i use up all my nutes along with some new soil.
an ph perfect is mostly for hydro? (5.8-6.3)
but also works with soiless (5.8-6.3) / soil? (6.3-6.8)
how does it know that your using soil / soiless (such as promix/ss#4)
perfect ph everytime -- seems like really easy work.
