Old Reviews Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect

I use the ph perfect and i would definatly recomend it for a someones first grow man this stuff does wonders i use gmb for veg then conni for flower im i. Coco so i have to supp wit sensical. U wont go wrong by goin wit AN bro dont worry bout spendi. The few extra bucks it will be worth it in the end. I know there is alot of haters out there but if u want to see the results from the ph perfect just check out my g13 auto ak and di.afem cheese thread i got some good pics there of what these nutes can do for u.

So how long do you use the Sensi Grow/GMB? I know your not using it as long as you use the Connoisseur.. I know i can call them and ask them but i just wanted to see what other people are doing with Scheduling the Nutrients.

Just checked your work out. They were so BRIGHT GREEN!!! Thats what i have seen across the board with the AN PHPF's.

Far as I know, no one here is using Connoisseur yet. The pH Perfect line is still new and most of us are starting off with the Sensi first to see how it does before moving up to the Connoisseur.

I've been looking into these products mainly the pH Perfect Sensi Grow and pH Perfect Connoisseur with the Hobbyist Bundle. What are you guys thinking of the Connoisseur nutrients?

Trying to make it mega easy for myself since its my first grow. Any info would be AMAZING! Thanks in advance.

Hey Muddy,
Are you keeping any tabs on the F-M ratio? I know you noticed more females with your last few grows. And the Onyx grow I am helping Ally with produced 5 out of 5 females.
Now having been a breeder of tropical fish, I know such a small sampling could have been a fluke.
It would be good for everyone on the site that is using the AN PH Perfect line to comment on their experience in this regard.
It definitely COULD be a good thing, depending on what it is that is in AN PH perfect that would be causing a disproportionate F-M ratio. (assuming that is the case)
But it might not be, if the ANPHP is causing it, we as users of the end product really should know what is causing it and if their is any known effect to humans.

PS. For those of you wondering why this would be an issue. Nature (in most cases) generally insists that sex determination fall pretty close to a 50-50 ratio between male & female, once a species consistently begin to deviate from that ratio, there is the potential for all sorts of problems. So the reason for the imbalance should be discovered.
In this case, if in fact the ANPHP is doing this, we should know the causitive agent/s, to determine if we want to be exposed to it or not.

this is my first run with AN ph perfect sensi grow and bloom and its a little different then my old ff nutes. I'm runnin distilled water which started at 0 ppm and 6.80 ph. I added 1 tsp. humboldts myco madness and shook it up,next was 4ml sensi grow part a shook it and then 4ml sensi grow part b and shook it. I checked the ppm for each 1 liter per plant and it was 374,352,359,358 with ph readings of 6.39,6.5,6.47,3.58. I had to mix up another 1/2 gallon to hit the last 2 plants so i used 2ml of each and 1/2 tsp myco madness-ppm were 284,293 and ph was 6.35 and 6.39. Holy hell i'm all over the map here in both ph and ppm. I'm planted in 1 gallon smartpots with promix bx and 1 liter per pot produced no runoff-this was the first feeding. My question is am i in the ballpark and ok with these readings? i'm using a hannah combo meter for testing. I'm out of my normal comfort zone with my ff nutes and tryin this stuff after seein everyones awesome results but this is like startin all over again! Anybody wanna chime in?

My last couple grows have been from feminized seeds, so I have nothing more to report on at this point. But so far from about 40 regular seeds I've only had 8 males.

I planted a bunch of BC Big Bud in the swamp all from regular seed. Yesterday I checked and 6 of the 8 were males. How sad worst swamp year I have ever had. I gotta buy femalised seed, make femanised seed or go back to cloning the plants for the swamp. They were all such nice looking plants. Once I plant them I don't visit them often.

I run into the same thing with the rain water I use. My starting pH can vary between about 7.5 all the way up to 9 and the ppm can be between 20 to 120. What I've been doing is mixing in a 5 gallon bucket out in the garage, then pouring into gallon jugs to transport the nutes to my grow room. Much easier as I only have to check the one batch instead of individual jugs, plus I know everything is getting the same pH and ppm. Your readings are fine. A bit lower on the ppm than what I get but that's to be expected since rain water has a higher starting ppm than distilled. In fact, you may want to add a little cal/mag solution to your distilled water, enough to get your starting ppm up to around 50 or so. 4 ml is a pretty strong feed. Over about 40 plants I've grown since switching to pH Perfect, I've only been able to feed 3 ml to a couple plants. Most haven't been able to take more than 2 ml per gallon.

Regarding the Myco Madness. The Microrise in Pro Mix is sufficient and there's really no need to add any more myco. I verified this with Premier Horticulture, the manufacturers of Pro Mix. If you amend the Pro Mix with castings, manure, guano, etc., then a bit more is needed. It should be mixed in with the Pro Mix prior to planting and no additional is needed after that.

Thanks Muddy, just gettin my feet wet with this stuff. I should have clarified that i mixed 4ml of the sensi grow to 1 gallon distilled water to start and then checked the ppm and ph of the 1 liter containers i transferred it to. thats whhat threw me as it should have all been close to the same readings as it was all mixed together in the same 1 gallon jug before i split it up. Checked the plants this mornin and so far they look pretty good after their first feed.Interested to see when they sex what ratio i get as i been watching the conversation about AN nutes and female to male ratio. Also i'm just using straight promix bx,didn't amend with anything.

You may not have waited long enough for the readings to stabilize. Sometimes it takes as much as 8-10 minutes.
