Old Reviews Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect

I am an inside hydro grower with s deep water air bubble style. Last year I switched from starting seedlings in my large bubbly tank with bloom nuits to starting the seedlings in modified totes with groth fertilizers. I have three 12 hole totes I use for starting. Being inquisative I just had to find out what worked best in the totes for fertilizer levels and pH. I grew3 the three totes with 3 different levels of nuits. I use a PPM meter to measure the nuit level.

The three nuit levels I tried were 500 PPM, 750 PPM and 1000 PPM.

Here are my results.

500 produced OK groth and no health problems
750 better groth and height at show of sex than 500 no health problens
1000 about half the babies died and those that didn't did not grow as well as the 750 level.

I now grow at 750 in all three totes.

Use Grow till vertical growth stops, around week 5-6, then switch to Bloom. Half strength seems to be about all auto strains can take. I tried pushing a few to 3/4 but started seeing signs of nute burn. If you're using any other additives, like B-52 or Overdrive, just follow the bottle instructions.

How long do you keep them in the starter totes before transferring, Nelson?

Till they show sex and then they go on to the main bubbly tank. The totes have the same pots as the main bubbly tank. The nuit level in the main bubbly tank I try to keep at 850 PPM, The older plants seem to tolerate it fine. The main bubbly tank has bloom nuits. If they haven't shown sex by 8 weeks I presume they are photos. If I have room I pot them up and throw them in the carousel room where I transfer them to soil if there is room. They don't mind making t5he shift from hydro to soil. The carousel room runs at 12 hours all the time.

Been wonderin about this! so,your takin regular beans, crackin them and putting them in the bubble tote until they sex-then transfering the females to the dwc bucket? I was wondering how that worked-it would suck to crack beans, throw'em in a dwc bucket and then have them turn out to be males.

In the future I would recommend you not trim the fan leaves. The energy that is stored in them is utilized by the plant in the last few weeks to fatten up the buds. Trimming or removing them will likely lower your yields.

I agree completely. The only time I ever approve of cutting leaves is on clones, and even then I'm skeptical as to how much it helps. I rarely ever cut leaves even on clones.

Regarding the earlier discussion of water sources and the pH Perfect nutrients, I heartily recommend getting an RO system. Sure, they're not cheap, but have you EVER heard someone say they wished they hadn't bought theirs? No, it doesn't happen. I may have seen someone say once in awhile that they'd bought a smaller one, or a different brand or something, but I have never heard of anyone who got an RO system and then wished they hadn't.

Just make sure you get one that's the right capacity for your use. If you only ever use 30 gallons in a day, a system that puts out 100 gallons a day isn't going to be worth the money. That said, I'd generally go just slightly bigger than you absolutely need, for two reasons. First, you're going to want it to have the water ready for you before you need it, not right around the same time you need it because it may not run quite as fast as the manufacturers say it will. There are variables involved. Second, you never know when you might find yourself needing more water than you did when you bought it. You could upgrade your grow or you might decide you want to drink RO water yourself (it's not a bad idea if you're health-conscious and wary of municipal water).

And particularly if you're using the pH Perfect nutrients... RO water is awesome because it really lets those nutes do all the work for you they are capable of. Easy mode for growing!

You have experience with RO+PH perfect? What kind of setup do you run?

Greeting friends... I'm new to the site and new to using AN PH Perfect products, but I did get some Connoisseur & BigBud to try on my purple cheese. I'm in soil 50/50 ffof & ffhf. Can anyone tell me what a good ppm starting point would be ? I use DI water ph @ 7 with 0-10 ppms. I know the "Connie is a 2-part product, so if you can let me know how many ppm each part + bigbud that would be great. Hope to hear back from anyone familiar with these products.

Can anyone using AN PH perfect tell me if sensi part B and connoisseur part B are a clear liquid? I bought them from a US dealer & there not sent in the original bottles. Never seen clear nutes before looks like water but it dont taste like it lol
