Outdoor 55° North

Thanks for the tag, didn't know you had another journal here!!!!

More lovely ladies to look at.

You have a lot of plants going this summer, and they all look fabulous.
This is my outdoor thread, I'll resurrect it each year :bighug:

Thanks, I'm just growing as many as I think I can get away with, the summer comes and goes so quick, and I'm limited with size indoor. So I'll try to fill my jars with outdoor autos, hopefully enough to last thought the winter, and my little indoor project can maybe cover any gaps :eyebrows:

That's the plan anyway :shooty:

Ah, now that is good news. I've been spying his gear for a bit, I've been following @Shiva's Mistress and her grows, great looking catalogue, some familiar parents he works with too. I'll for sure be checking out the fems when they arrive

RE Fastbuds.....I had issues germing Orange Sherbert and Amnesia, so much so, I left them out of this round. Wedding Cheese Cake has produced long, thin, ugly strings for buds, it stinks, and is covered in sticky resin, but the bud structure is comical, I'll get some pics later.
The Northern Lights is the only one that is 'desireable' so far, I haven't smoked her yet, she's still going strong, another 10 days and she'll be down. But the proof is in the pudding, so far so good, but a smoke will be the final judgement.
Is your Creeper not doing it for you either? I don't know what generation she is, but some clean up work in their breeding is in need. Too many anomalies for a company that wants to trade at the top end. If I'd have paid for these seeds, I would be looking to eat someone from SSSC :haha: The top man, a minion, a lady who spoke to their cleaner 3 weeks ago, someone would have to go
I'm super excited about his fem' releases, I have much confidence in them... His reg. line is so well worked, a passion breeder, not a bizz-man shakin' it for $$!
At the other end of the spectrum, we have FB's :rolleyes1: ... this is why I asked mate, seems I see a fair amount of misfires happening with them,... Some great stuff can be found, but all in all pretty hit and miss... I think their older line are more stable/reliable, newer stuff ,as with so many these days, comes out half baked...
Brings us to SSSC, huh,... My Creepers are too soon to tell, and are being grown under totally different conditions compared to everybody else... Are far as veg's goes, they are just fine. I can't hold anything against the smaller one, she was wonky (one cotyl', slow start and correction) from the start, the other more like what Tom has for build/size.... I had to drop her into bigger shoes yesterday, size:pot was just silly and asking for troubles! No shock though, roots hardly knew it happened- :greenthumb:... so we'll see in a few weeks! The rest of the gang seems to be getting good pheno's... Is your funky grower still looking weedy and leggy, trich-poor? I was hoping she'd at least juice-up for you,... Bloody poor luck for you in any case, considering what LF put you through as well .. at least that final one panned out! I just wish they'd show up here and engage...not just scan for good porn to use. Creeper needs to be faster for sure IMO. What we don't have are statistically significant numbers to tell if what we see is a real issue or just damn bad luck....

This sounds perfect. Small boutique breeders, doing it for love and passion, rather than coin. That's why I fell in love with Mephisto, pure fire at every turn, but then they had presence on here too. Mitch was only a PM away, and they were upfront about breeding, and always elvolving. Ace, for me, have taken it to a new level, with the testing of strains ect, and you get the feeling that they still give a shit.

I'll be ordering from him, 100% (great prices BTW) I've been looking at the Autoflower regs, and thinking could I get some of them done here, this year, is it too late, and keep a male an pollen chuck a bit? :eyebrows:

I thought I'd ressurect this thread, and see if I can keep it going.

This year I'm running some Mephisto again, and a couple of Fastbuds beans I had leftover. Mephisto are, Sour Stomper, Skyler White, 3 Bears, White Crack, And Orange Haze, Fastbuds are both Wedding Cheese Cake. All in smart pots, Stomper and One of the Weddings are in a 20 liter pot, the rest in 15 liters. I've used my own homemade compost (for the first time), light mix, extra perlite, and plenty of sludge from the fish tank filter.

The weather up here has been pretty amazing so far, they sit in the greenhouse, sunning themselves around 30 degrees during the day, nightime can get a bit nippy, 8-7, but so far they seem to be doing ok. I did start them in smaller pots, and potted them on, never done it before with Autos, and I don't think I'll replicate it. I like planting in the end pot, with the pot as big as possible, but I couldn't do that this time.

Nice to 'see' you again too :bighug:, hows things? I hope you've been keeping well.

Let's see how they do up here, they will be tested for sure. I was gonna reverse one, but my dark glass bottles for mixing the STS are stuck in the post somewhere, so I'll probably save it for the next run, might be a bit late, plants are on day 24, showed sex a week ago.

On the same page!! Currently reversing Sour Hound for a little repro…love me some chem, and started with the STS at the first sign of sex. Lazy here, as it might be too late to start a long vegging gal to receive. Timing!!
You ran Lava Freeze as I recall. Got a couple of those somewhere, but question whether she will be worth the time?
Just about 43N here and 95f…the globe definitely has a fever.
You could also reverse one and isolate for collection. They don’t need much light (read:countertop) for the week before pop. Nice to have some fem pollen in the frizzer.

Bit of a mixed bag so far. I fucked up with the potting on, maybe too late, it wasn't something I've ever done before, I will always plant in the final pot from now on. Only really the Sour Stomper is up to the usual standard. All 5 weeks old now

So overall, not the best I've ever grown outside, but it's still not over, they may surprise me yet.

I might run the next batch in 25 liter autopots?

Still nice looking crew if a bit stunted from the transplant:kiss:. Plenty of time for them to focus on fat flowers.

Wassup AFNers. Shitty weather here! Rain, low daytime temps, wind, interupted by really nice sunshine. Perfect blight weather. My garlic has taken the main hit so far, brown rust all over.

The ladies are in the greenhouse most of the time, just for rain protection, but when ever they can, they sun themselves on the lawn.
