Dutch Passion 4 x Dutch Passion Auto Blackberry Kush.

First i like to say very nice plants, im growing this strain so im in on this one also :)

Second, i like to agree, hps are far more productive then led for the most part. Leds were just marketed as a breakthrew technology thing and everybody and there mama jumped on the wagon lol iif a hps producer became a sponcer here and interacted with us then hps would be popular again, just the way the mmj market works, old strains are pure and most time better then new strains, but bexause of good marketing, new strains fly off the shelf.. check out most commercial growers and breeders, open bulb hps Baby :)

Anyway, nuff rantin on your thread, sorry, cant wait to see those purple nugs

Thanks beast, yes i'm loving the HPS, but that grownorthern HS1 is doing amazing things for 75 watts!

The tall, pale one is slowly darkening :

she is now 34 inches tall, i may have to bend her :

Pretty sure that's the end of the growth spurt coming up, and the crazy things are showing the first signs of flowering already.

Thanks for reading,

I don't know how much height you have? But after watching Hazy a Super Crop might be in order to tame the beast!

HS1 are as good as a 250w Hps, i should know i used to grow with Hps.

Yeah but Hs1's are much more flexible. I couldn't run 2x 250 HPS in a 60x 70 cupboard from 40cm. Oh and power consumption 500w Vs 150w. Then there's spectrum , light placement and diffusers. Sure there's a fair premium but I think it's worth it for cutting edge UK made tech. However no one said you couldn't grow good weed under HPS and I bet you hardly use your Heater. Looking damn good Steely.

Oh man Steely,
I think you might have a beast on your hands for the next coming weeks.

I know, she's grown another two inches since then !!!

I know it's getting annoying, will have to do something since i can't keep the light so high above the shorter plants.

The tent is 5' 8" and when the light is at max height there's 4ft of space below it.

Thanks for reading,

I have found with the big phenos the smoke isn't as pleasant as the smaller phenos. It will be interesting to see what you think.

I like ladies of all shapes and sizes :)

Her 20% Sativa genes are showing through, slimmer leaves, larger inter-nodal gaps.

It's the hungriest strain i've ever grown,a couple of leaves showed slight N-def so i upped from 3 to 4ml/L.

Next feed is bloom and it will be 5ml, never fed that much at first flowering feed before, normally 3ml/L for me at this time.

Greed Girls means Yummy Yields :)

Here's one with lights-off, you can see the N-def :

Here's one with lights switched back on :

Question, i know that, after switching an HPS bulb on, you shouldn't turn it off again for at least 15 minutes.

Is it okay to switch them off for a quick photo then switch them back on again or should i wait for that too ?

Cheers for reading,

Steely.
