Hey up,

My raid on the stores at work proved fruitless, nothing small enough for my little space.

Just been to do my checks and I noticed the plant that I radiated seems to be throwing out some branches already despite being tiny. What you think?

Aside from that all looking good. Must do a res change.

So far I'm very impressed with the mars led.

I haven't moved the light any closer, it's as high as I can get it, a good 3 foot above plants. They are looking pretty squat and threatening to get as bushy as a wax strip in Essex!

The wilma drip system has worked faultlessly, if it wasn't for a few minor temp tweeks the whole grow has been set and forget so far.

I completed insulating the tent yesterday. The outside temp had dropped by 7 degrees and the uninsulated tent dropped to just 20c. After insulation it was a barmy 32!

I'd say that was success! The temp dropped even lower last night, down to 5c outside. The tent had a low of 16 (lights and heater off) and a high of 22ish. I still have to insulate the supply duct which is probably losing me a few degrees, with that done I should be able to run the extract through a thermostat and be able to reasonably well control the space temp. The only problems I may encounter is if we get a prolonged very cold spell when the gardens in bloom, if the extract isn't called to run that much I could have humidity issues.

2" of polystyrene with 1" of multi foil over 3 sides and the top. The front as a curtain of multi foil. Rolling that up out of the way to tend the grow is gonna piss me off pretty soon.

Plan on doing a res change tomorrow and take a few pics.

Well the 1st hard frost and the numbers in the grow were....... low 16 and high 23.

I half insulated the air intake duct, so I'll check if that has improved at all.

It seems I may not have to connect a tstat to my extract fan as dumb luck and a little judgement seems to have come into play.

Once the blueberry flowers just rolling up the foil door curtain at night should allow the temp in the tent to drop and maybe give me some pretty colours.

OK
2 sharp frosts in a row and the garden stayed in the 20s, down to 16 lights off. I'm happy enough to leave it set with the heater and fans coming on constantly with the lights.

Changed the res solution today. Ph at 6.1 canna aqua flores at half strength, 1080u. The poxy but I got to store the solution has a leak!

Got some serious branching going on, these are gonna be way bushy.

Here's the pics.

It seems you got the temps sorted dude - Well done!

I also have had some success on that front but I'm saving that for my update later

Plants are looking good!

Cheers,
Hardon

Hi h

Yeah, I hope so. I think I will run the extract fan through a thermostat. For the sake of a tenners worth of kit and an hours work I have control. Control is good.

I have 4 foot of duct to insulate which I sort tomorrow.

I'll have to check out some tutorials on this site, I thought I had to subscribed to your grow. Shouldn't I get alerts of something? I'll look forward to that update.

I'm actually thinking of leaving all my insulation in place for summer, could help with the hideous amount of thermal gain my lovely clay tiled roof gifts my gaff with (there's a tag line for phone company in there somewhere!)

Here's for having a look

Hey up

Whilst checking the girls for preflowers, I noticed this bit 2 for 1 branch action going on.
20151126_165345.jpg

Never seen that before.

The blueberry amnesia is leaning slightly, none of the other plants have shown phototropism.

Apart from that and a little ph drift, all good.

Hello Itisi........ when did you start watering your girls with the wilma system? Did you ever feed them by hand? I have a similar drip system and will be transplanting to pot soon.

Hi Bud

I started the seeds in jiffy pellets, soon as they popped I put them in the system with the dripper close to the seedling. I put a humidity dome over the seedling and the dripper.

I also have a heater in the reservoir, the pots are filled with clay pebbles.

It's run faultlessly so far.
