there ya go buddy! now your on the right track! youll be just fine, i know it..good luck my man~

Thanks grow!

And Seed2Weed, don't give up man! You can search for my other grow log. I had my down time for sure. I even thought at one time this was not meant for me and I would be regulated to calling around the rest of my life looking for product. But after trying two methods and failing I retooled, tried something new and BAM here I am! Far from done, or out of the tunnel, but things are looking good. If you don't mind sharing, whats been your problem?

Possible problem brewing here! Noticed a little yellow spot on one of the AKR's fan leaves these past few days. I thought at first it may be nute burn, considering I went heavier on her than I did the La Diva since Ive heard AKR's can handle nutes pretty easy.

Now, I think I may have a mag deficiency going on. My ph for the soil keeps coming up 7.0. I added sulfer to the mix when I initially started, being told that the sulfer may take some time to lower the ph. Cant manage to get her lower than 7.0.

Any guesses here? Nute burn? Mag deficiency? Note the La Diva shows no sign of yellow spots, only difference in the two plants is type of pot & the La Diva has gotten less nutes this far.

Thanks!

if the runoff is coming out at 7.0 it might just be minor nute lockout. i know i sound like im beating a dead horse, but your not overdoing the water situation right? whats ur nute/water ratio with the AKR? your keeping accurate nute/water logs right? how much water is going into the pot, and how often? what are your temps like? as far as AKR's being able to handle nutes good, its not true. they are a very tempermental strain, just ask andy botwin. both him and i are having problems with them, and have been throughout the grow. they are definetly a more sensetive strain.

If you pH is still at 7 it's a lock out issue. How long ago did you add the sulfur? Also, what is the pH of your feed solution?

How are you measuring the soil ph? Runoff test or soil meter?

Hey guys, thanks for the input.

Grow-The girls are getting about 24 oz of water a week, I tend to do it on Mondays. Obviously I always do the knuckle test, along with picking the pots up to feel their weight. Right now the water being fed is 1/2 tsp. of Grow Big to 1 gallon of water. Although, which Im sure I said in the weekly update posts, the La Diva has gotten less nutes than the AKR. Which is why I wondered if it was nute burn b/c the La Diva is fine. I don't think it's an over-watering issue. The temps in the room are 75-80 degrees.

Muddy-I added in 1/2 tsp. of sulfur to each pot when I added the mix. (The airpot is 2.5 gallons, the other 2 gallons). I actually do not know how to test the ph of the water solution.

Stash-I toss my ph meter (which I know isnt one of the fancy ones) into the soil. Im not exactly sure what/or how to do a run-off test.

Woke up today and the yellow spot has gotten bigger. Again, not even a sign of anything like this on the La Diva. Any suggestions on what to do?

Do you have a way of testing your water's ph? Liquid drops or meter? If not you really need something.

It sounds like that soil meter is crap and always gives you a reading of 7. So really we don't have a clue what the ph is...

That looks like lockout because of the ph being off. Without being able to get ph reading you are driving in the dark with no headlights, man.

yes like squid said, you need to test the waters ph, and to test the runoff, you need to water enough to cause the pot to saturate, with about 10% runoff. When it runs out of the pot, have it run into something like a bucket, and you can put a ph strip or digital ph tester in the runoff water. Needs to be around 6.5. When you test your water going into the pot, it needs to be the same. To raise your water's ph, you can use baking soda. To lower it, you can use apple cider vinegar. I just used the vinegar and it works awesome. just a couple drops to a gallon of water and you should be good(depending on what your waters ph is reading). If a newbee is ever asking questions on this site about how to grow, youll always hear muddy or anyone thats good at it say that ph of water and soil is the most important thing to monitor when it comes to MMJ. If you want a good grow, definately take that advice, and everything will be just fine. Almost every problem that plants have when it comes to burning/nute lockout is directly due to ph. So if you dont have nothing to test with, GET ONE! (im not yelling, just want to make sure you know the importance)

Squid-Eh, I dont know if it's crap. Not heigh end by any means. I think it was 10-15 bucks. I did take it outside to test random soil and it does give other readings. So I know it isn't stuck on 7.0. Ill run out to the nursery tomorrow and see if they have those testing strips.

Grow-Thanks for the tip. I know how much Muddy and the vets stress ph levels. I was hoping of course I wouldn't run into those kind of problems. I am using water from Wal-Mart, reverse osmosis. If that gives you any clue. I also premixed one gallon of that water with the Grow Big.

Anyone else find it odd that the La Diva is showing none of these problems? Like I stated before, the only difference in the two is that the La Diva has gotten less nutes.
