Nice read I'll be keeping my eye on this thread, I have also have two not so successful grows (still going) so its nice to watch someone succeed it gives me hope, good luck man.

You don't need to spend that much for a good fan and filter. You can get 4" ones here for about $120. http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/. In the end a carbon filter is really the only effective way to go. ONA or anything similar will just mask the smell, not remove it. If you are noticing the smell at this point, it's going to get a lot stronger once they really get into flower.

i agree with muddy, when i said 170, that's just what i paid. but as far as the carbon scrubber goes, i think your gonna need it unfortunately, or your gonna run into problems~i would hate to see you on the front page my friend.

I would be a very silly man to disagree with Muddy and Growbewan as this is my first grow every, and please note im not, But that said Atpmixx set up is a closet grow and I am having trouble picturing how a carbon filter and extraction would be set up. ?

yes, dreamsweep just an fyi, it is looked down upon to jump into someone's grow journal and start asking questions about your grow. I recommend starting your own grow journal and trust me, as soon as you do a bunch of people will be happy to join in and help you, including myself. As far as your plant is concerned, she looks great, and perfectly a good size for that age.
oldboy, the filter connects directly to one side of the ventilating fan, and on the other side of the fan, you would have 4 inch ducting that would run right though the ceiling into the attic most likely. The pressure of the fan sucking the air will make the smell go nowhere else except through the carbon scrubber and into the attic, leaving no smell to escape anywhere else. its actually amazing. hahaha.

As for the carbon scrubber Ill have to do a little looking around. For one, Im not all the handy, and just the logistics of where it would blow out is puzzling me. Im wondering if I cant just attach it into my exhaust tube for my dryer and shoot it straight outside. Time to start thinking! Again, thanks for all the help.
