Hey those cfls will do work. I grew with 9 before and did ok. 9 23 watt cfl. Used surge protector and bought individual plug in screw in sockets from hardware store. I like your set up. How close do you keep them to plants?

No reason to fix something that isnt broke but do you plan on upgrading lights in the future? And if you were to do so what would you go with?

@Boognelson87 Thanks! A lot of people told me I wouldn't get much yield and that it would be airy or not sticky and crystally etc well I am getting great yields for 2 gallons of soil, buds perfect density super sticky, crystally and potent.
I honestly know people that grow with thousands of dollars of equipment that don't have buds this good, it is really mainly all in genetics in my opinion as long as you have proper watts, enviroment etc.
There were a few people that gave cfl a bad name because they didn't do there homework is what it is. I keep them about an inch and a half to 2 inchs away by using things under the pots to get them up closer to the light at various sizes of growth.
Eventually unfortunatly I am sure they will phase cfl out I already couldn't find them in big hardware stores. So will switch to autocobs then.
This is my new setup with added 6 23 watt cfls made with a computer side panel its kinda the 2.0 lol have a 24k in a 5 gallon that I am gonna let stretch out under as an experiment to see the size and yield difference.

I like that!! And ive heard it all too. I wish i had photos of my grow. My Afghan kush ryder was amazing smoke for cfl grow. I was a really heavy smoker then compared to now and that put me on my ass. I'm sure the genetics do play a big part. I grew some short stuff seeds blue Himalayan and speedy Gonzales if I remember right those were by short stuff with the cfl setup. If I'm wrong my apologies. The buds were fine but the smoke was shit. Thinking it was genetics.
Very nice! I know I've mentioned to you before my cfl grow I had a 11 inch cola I can't remember the weight. The number that comes to mind is 16 grams. But im entirely not sure. Just can't remember. But i remember the length. Yours look really good. Stay with good genetics and you should continue to get results. I know my next purchase will be mephisto and prolly some fastbuds again.

Nice! I love Afghani! Yeah I have heard some of the older autos weren't very potent too so that could have been it Mephisto and some of the bigger breeders did a lot to increase potency there is an interesting interview on youtube with one of the guys from Mephisto where they talk about how they increased potency etc worth a watch.
Honestly, I was sketchy cuz I been out of the "game" for some years I was going to not give autos a shot due to some that I've grown and my friends and lack of potency and taste. But after looking on here and seeing some fastbuds grows and mephisto I decided to get back into autos instead of photo strains. I may grow photos down the line but honestly I love auto strains even if they are less productive.
I'll watch that video for sure.
How do you compare the g14 potency to mephisto strains?
