Mephisto Genetics 2 Deep Dlue C, 2 Sour cracks( title changed first grow)

I went and checked on the DBC sprout. Didn't look much different but first set of leaves were developing under the jiffy. I pulled the jiffy apart once I saw this. Sure enough the root was growing up. It was right by the catyledons. It just kept growing in a spiral. Very strange. I tried to straighten her out a little bit and put her back in the jiffy the best I could. Hopefully she can take the abuse. No wonder it took 6 days to see her push the soil. Had to throw her and the jiffy in final bucket because the jiffy was falling apart. Will keep my fingers crossed. DBC keeps testing me

Hey pal everything looks to be pretty good so far, what type of lighting are you using and how close have you got it ? as they look to be stretching a little.

As for the rust it is to early for them to be showing any type of deficiency yet, so doubt it could be calmg or any other type of nutrient, it looks like you are misting them with water which is all good and i do the same at this stage, but you have to be careful not to leave any droplets of water on the leaves as these can magnify the light and cause burnt spots on the leaves which could be the spots that you say you can see.

Hey spanglish. I think you are right by the droplots of water. That's probably why I read to mist at lights off. 400w hps. Have it about 16-17 inches from glass so I'm sure I could drop it down a few inches. I know I'm using hps and not MH. Honestly went way over my budget but glad I did so far. So the HPS could have to do with the stretching. I'm really using an eyehortilux super hps 600w just adjusted to 400w right now.

I think the stretching has stopped for the most part. I've been measuring the height everyday and they seem to be working on leaf development rather than stretching now.

Good news on the DBC sprout. It grew up 3/4 of an inch last night so I think she will make the rough start off life.first true set of leaves look good so far.

Height seems about right and yeah HPS will cause a little more stretch than normal so think you are good with the lighting ;)

Yeah best to mist with lights off for that reason and if for any reason you cant can try soaking up any water droplets on the leaves with some tissue to stop the light magnifying on the leaves.

Looking on track now though pal, just wait another couple of weeks and then that when things start to get real fun.

Thanks bud, I'll let you know if I have anymore issues. I'll try and throw some more pictures up in a couple days. I'll also update on the funky curly deep blue c sprout.

So SC#2 still has weird leaf curl. Anybody want to take a guess? Her second set of leaves have looked funny from the start if you look back. The other girls in the tent are doing great. I do notice SC#2 is perkier once lights are off and come back on. By the time 18 hrs is up she is droppy. I was thinking over water. But idk. The burns I think are from drops of water and light. Posted a pic below of her sister who looks fine.

This is SC#1 right at lights off as well. Not as far developed but looks healthier. I've been water 1/2 cup of ph'd nute water every day around the jiffy. I can tilt the 5 gallon bucket now and get run off.

So 5 hours of lights off and SC#2 looks a little perkier. First set of leaves are pretty much straight but the new growth is just so droppy. I'm still thinking overwater but have no clue. Like I said before the growth got interesting after its first true leaves. Could it be stress do to the burns? Sorry for not being more organized with all these posts. I'm still trying to figure out everything and I'm doing this all from my phone.

Hey pal it could be overwatering if you are getting runoff the soil must be pretty wet, you only want to keep the soil damp around the stem at this stage and then as they get bigger increase the frequency and amount of water, can try leaving them for a day or so with no water and see if it improves the droopiness
