SH = 10 1/2" tall and 17" wide
GC = 6" tall 12" wide




The first problem has finally arrived! Thankfully it's not my favorite the SH. Noticed some cal spots on 1-2 leaves of the GC. Funny it happened just days after turning on the 2nd led. Going to mix up a gallon or 2 of ro water and add a boost of cal mag when I get up in the morning. Damn I thought I was already pumping them full of cal but I guess ol GC is a greedy one. Other than that small problem everything is still going great. SH showed preflowers at day 24 I believe and she is starting to stretch for sure. I think I counted 8 tops on her.

The GC is still getting bushier and slowly adding height. She is going to go a lot longer than the SH most likely. Hopefully I get the cal problem handled tomorrow and everything gets back on track.

Today I added 15ml calimagic and 6ml rhino skin to 5l of ro water and added it to the res. Hopefully that will put the breaks on the calcium problem. I also realized something kind of interesting today after browsing the forum for all the sour hound grows. I'm pretty sure I have the only dwc sour hound grow on google lol.

Lookin mighty healthy for sure my dude, and man those LED's will sure make a calmag problem come out quick. I can bet you it is because you turned your other LED on, I don't think it is a coincidence it happened right after you turned your other one on. Note for your next grow though is to start adding a little extra calmag a couple of days before you turn on your other LED, that way the plant should have plenty and not have it all sucked up by the LEDs.

Man I am telling you though those roots are just crazy as can be, I mean they are literally some of the whitest roots I have ever seen, and they are getting bigger and healthier by the day! That extra air seems to be doing wonders!

Man I'm so giddy lol. The sh has grown at least 3" in height since I posted the height last time. I've been growing for at least two years now and I've never had a plant grow like this before and be so healthy. The stalk and branches are thicker than anything I've ever grown before. Shit is just bonkers

Today I mixed 35ml A+B, 25ml calimagic, and 17ml rhino skin into 5 gallons of RO water and added it to the res. Tomorrow I'm probably going to mix another 2 gallons and add more calmag to it. I've been wanting to add bigbud but I'm not sure if I should wait until I actually see buds first. I'm leaning towards waiting a little longer but i'm definitely open to suggestions from you guys.

Both girls are still growing daily and continue to impress the hell out of me. I've literally looked at every SH grow I could find by searching google and this forum and I swear all of them look the same except for mine. It's almost like it topped itself and no shoot is dominant. In fact at the moment a side branch is the tallest part of the plant. Such a wonderful looking plant I still can't believe I'm the one growing this thing.

Couple root pics from Day 32 that I forgot to post. Bigger root ball is the SH obviously lol. I actually have a picture from the first SH I grew in coco. Sadly I didn't do a journal for it and some how I only managed to keep 1 picture from the grow at day 38. I'm totally going to post it for comparison once this SH reaches day 38. Should be fun to see the difference! My first SH looked like all the other ones though with the typical build.

Thanks guys! really nice to have people stop in.

Definitely the biggest plant I've grown so far. Maybe not the tallest but definitely the biggest haha. When I invested 280$ into the chiller I sealed my fate. No going back after dropping all the money to build this setup. I'm just thankful everything is going well and it's paying off so far.

I never understood why most people say hydro is difficult. Even my first dwc grow was easier to me than soil and coco and the results where better. Water is amazing to work with and you literally have 100% control of what goes in. Literally the only thing you need to worry about is the water temp and that is easy to take care of. I love hydro so much.

Shame this part of the forums is not very active. You'd think with the results all the dwc guys are getting people would be all over this stuff. Take my sh for example. It's the beefiest sh i've seen anywhere and it's only because no one else has grown it in dwc. It's surely not because of anything special I did lol. People are going to be shocked when I post comparison pic in a few days. ;D
