lol she is too big for me to take out of the bucket or out of the tent. If I lift her I will snap colas. I'd have to remove my lights and even then i'd still probably break something taking her out. I basically decided on taking out about 80%(all i could manage) of the water from the system. Took a bowl and scooped out 6 gallons of water from res. I will replace with 8 gallons of ro water. That should hopefully lower the ppms drastically. I will repeat this process as needed to continue lowering ppm's as needed. I will say though she has continued to drink a consistent amount of water. I was consistently refilling 2 gallons of water every other day.


To be honest I think this is just from my carelessness in not checking ppm's. I got too arrogant because everything was going well. If I had checked my ppms more often I would have noticed she wanted less nutes and stopped giving her so much over and over. She still seems fine though so i'm sure everything will work out as long as I bring those ppms down.



I'm totally getting one of those ph/ppm combo meters that constantly sits in the res.

I was thinking of grabbing lne of those meters too. When i move. Also going to upgrade from a bucket to a tote for a bigger rez. My girl drank a gallon a day no problem but her ppms kept spiking

@Anasazi That is the thing your ppms wont come down because of the salts my friend, you might be able to get away with doing a "slow" rez change. Also you don't have to take your plant out of the tent just get another bucket and switch her in the tent. If you absolutely cant then I would get some sort of syphon or pump and get all the water out. You could have been checking your ppms 3 times a day for the last two weeks and you would still have this problem. It is not from you being careless, it is from you being stubborn and not changing your rez. Your plant doesn't want less nutes it wants less residual salt build up in her roots and rez. You need to at a bare minimum get all the solution you can out, then soak in very diluted nutrient solution which is because you added RO back to your rez then let that soak and a day later do the same thing again, take out all the solution you can then refill with RO. There is nothing you could have done to prevent this minus changing your rez, you can believe me or not it is up to you. I know you have some information from a thread that hadn't been updated in like 10 years and think that you CAN go a whole grow with no changing of your rez but your plants will suffer period if you don't do it to some degree now.

Bad news, relationship drama and my girl and I are breaking up so I gotta cut this girl down early and get out of here asap. Have to move back in with family but at least i'll be able to get a card there. Who knows how long before I can start a new grow though. This shit fucking sucks and came out of no where.
