Live Stoner Chat 1st grow, need help!

How loud is the Hiblow HP40? I've been looking for a quiet air pump, so many claim to be silent but when you turn them on they're like jet engines...
Hey sage, the hiblow hp40 is 32 db it is very quiet, put it this way the water bubbling in the bucket makes more noise, my LED is by far the nousiest thing in my tent now whereas before it was the buzzing sound of the 2 pumps my buckets came with.

Thanks, good to know, seriously considering it now...

Yeah seriously dude it is worth the investment if stealth is needed, I live in the UK in a converted Victorian house and my flat is on the first floor so I have people above and below me so this pump is a god send as I am sure they could here the other pumps I had running before and boy was a paranoid, now I have no doubts that they can here anything at all

How many litres is your bucket as mine is 27 litres but I only put 16l of nute solution in as this leaves about a 1-2 inch gap below the net pot and I thought 20l of air a minute would be plenty but they can definitely handle more so I wish I had maybe gone for the hp60 or 80

Yeah, never experienced cannabis giving me paranoia, growing it however...

I'm just in a 19l Oxypot, but I've just got a Poseidon Cyclops pro bubble pot (who the hell comes up with these names...) for my next run. From the looks of it is pretty much is the same as the exodus, only difference is it doesn't have a drip feed which I think the exodus has? nearly bought the Exodus because I'd read someone say the pump running the dripper warmed the res up too much, but you don't seem to have any trouble by the looks of things.

Haha no I ripped the top feed out, it just got in the way and I think you can only use it for first couple weeks anyway!

@MedGrower would you mind giving me your weekly opinion and any tips to help me through this last stage of my grow, I have done some heavy defoliation on 3 occasions now but do I keep doing it all the way through flowering or not as I've heard different opinions on this, here are some pics, thanks! Sorry they are always sideways I guess I need to take them with my phone sideways next time! :thanks:

Looks nice and healthy mate! Loads of tops on her too:thumbsup:
Thanks man, yeah everything going fairly smoothly at the moment but I'm getting to the stage now where I think the skill comes into it in terms of trying to keep my ph and EC levels correct as they are fluctuating quite a bit as the girls are drinking more and more :coffee:

I can only say what I would do. I continue to defoliate all through the flowering just some at the time and usually from the bottom of the plant and just some from the top that are shading the budsites.

That said, when I look at your plant it looks like it has good breathing room and not too much shade so I would leave her be for now. If you see the foliage getting thicker there, then I would take some leaves out. Idea is to create open space for the budsites to get good air and light exposure. However, defoliation triggers more leaf growth too so its always a bit of a balance how to do it.. I'd wait for a while and see how she goes. Looking very good!

Thanks Med you are the man! Problem is they just keep amazing me with how quickly they are bushy again as it was only yesterday morning I cut off that pile of leaves in that photo and I swear the plant was basically bear and then 42 hours later there like that!

Hey Med, I hope you don' mind me asking your opinion again but I seem to be running into some problems and not sure if it' nute burn or a calmag issue again so it' crucial what I do next I think as I'm either going to add more calmag which could really lock out the plant if I'm not careful or I was going to flush with canna flush what do you think??
Day 59
Ph 6.3
EC 1.8 after water deduction and also added pk13/14 this week so maybe she doesn' like this!
Temp 73
RH 52
Thanks alot man, oh by the way the other plant who' been fed exactly the same I've had no issues at all
