Live Stoner Chat 1st grow, need help!

Ok. Tell you what: Let's be careful and lower the EC to 1.5 and see how she likes it there. If the EC keep still pushing up naturally, you just add pH'd water enough to dilute the reservoir. I dont want to advice you to starve her either LOL
Haha it' ok med, I think I will just go for 1.4 and see what happens, thanks for all the advice bro and I will leave you alone to enjoy the rest of your Sunday! Much appreciaed as always! :worship:

No problem bro. My pleasure. You too have a great sunday :pass:

Hey @ChroToker nice looking girls you have there. You're a brave fellow for doing a first grow in dwc. You've got a mighty fine helping hand on your side in @MedGrower. Id like to encourage you to absorb his suggestions and apply them precisely. It doesn't take long to cause things to go downhill when growing in hydro. You've done great so far... Just remember what he said about throwing any preconceived nute schedules out the window. Autos generally can't handle the high EC levels like photoperiods can. You would much rather deal with a deficiency as opposed to a toxicity and lock out to boot. Your goal should be to see your EC slowly dropping each day, meaning that she is happily feeding herself as she drinks. If the EC is rising than she isn't able to uptake all that's in her feeds and as she drinks and the amount of water in your bucket decreases, it causes the strength of the nutrient solution to increase. Hope that's not too confusing buddy. Are you running your lights 24hrs? Im sorry if you said that before and I don't remember reading it!

Thanks man, yeah everything was going smoothly up until last 2 days with 1 of the girls, to be honest I got a bit carried away with the EC because I couldn' get my head around how to add in other nutes like the pk13/14 and calmag which I didn' use from the start and stop my EC from rising to high as I wanted to keep it 1.7-1.8 which it had been the previous week but now I have had the advice from med to cut down the base nutes I won't be making that mistake again! I'm just not sure now what to do about the girl with the brown spots as I'm thinking maybe I should continue to flush her for a couple days before starting a light feed again but then again I won' those buds to start packing on weight now and not sure they will with me starving her lol! Also I am supposed to defoliate today but not sure if I should shock her anymore, what do you think??

No don't flush her anymore... Now is the crucial time when your buds are developing and she needs her PK the most. I tend to agree with med that the spots are more along the lines of P than a calcium issue, but overall if it were my plant I woukdnt be worrying one bit. Id give her 1.1 or 1.2 EC of everything you've been giving her then give her .2 or.3 more of 13/14 for total of 1.4 or 1.5 EC. For sure the don't do any more flushing... That'll end up causing you problems and honestly even with a few dark spots on your bigger fans non, you still have a really healthy plant... And Im sure MedGrower will tell you too not to remove any more leaves till you give her a couple days to stabilize. I don't know if you've ever seen @Ash-a-Ton. Around but hes really good with dwc too if you ever need anything and can't get to MedGrower in time

Oh yeah I forgot to mention... You said you'd be happy with an oz from each plant. I can tell ya you're well on your way to getting a good half pound from those 2 girls. Colorado cookies makes some really big dense buds!

How many buckets did the MBAP give you @Ash-a-Ton. I saw your post in live stonerrs from yesterday I think it was. She was truly a beast

Yeah man at the start I was definitely just more then happy to get through this grow with some smokable bud out of it, but the more the grow is going on and seems to be going quite well I guess I'm aiming for 3 oz off each, right I'm going to do my res changes and listen to the great advise I've been given as don' want to screw this grow in the crucial last few weeks! Thanks for taking an interest as I don' think I could get through this without the awesome canna community helping me out lol , oh yeah forgot to answer your previous question, I run the light 20/4 all the way through so far. :thanks:

No problems at all. I remember my first grow... I wasn't smart enough to get any help and had to learn everything the hard way. Get her back in some happy juice and shell do you well. Take care... Ill monitor this post and help any that I can and Im curious to seeing how colo cookies turns out in dwc. I grew some in coco but they didn't grow as full as yours are. Can't beat the bubblin buckets for yield

Thanks man, I took your guys advise on board and changed out the res, bought the feed down, I did some defoliation and she seems happy again, just hoping they are going to fatten up now in the next 3-4 weeks!
