Live Stoner Chat 1st grow, need help!

Honestly, I think it is mostly due to good genetics that a strain has. Not all my grows have super thick stems even though I do them pretty much the same. This current one is certainly not the thickest! Thickest stem I've had is with Auto Ultimate. They are crazy strong. Silicone will help build thicker and stronger cell walls and will help in building thicker and more robust stems for sure. Did you know that Canna Aqua already has silicon added into it? So actually you have that already covered, lucky you

Hey Med,
Sorry to keep bugging you dude but nice to get some reassurance and tips from an experienced grower, so my babies seem to be doing really well on the whole apart from the issue I had on 2 sets of leaves on only 1 of the plants, as I showed before, will the leaves ever go back to normal or will they always show this yellowing??

The new growth seems great and is a nice colour, could you please take a look at the pics and let me know your thoughts, thanks bro! :bighug:

Hey! No problem bro, you can ask me anytime you want, I answer when I am available ;)

Your plants seem nice, specially the last pic. As long as they keep growing I wouldn't be conserned. They seem to have eaten well, almost too well, so I would keep the feed there for a week or so. Whats the EC/PPM of the feed now?

Tissue damage wont go away, it stays or even starts to look nastier over time but as long as the other leaves are not showing new signs, all is good. I would pick those leaves out in about a week regardless.

Did you know that rhizotonic calms the plant down and helps it recover from a shock/stress? I think if you are going to pick any leaves it is always a good idea to have some of that in the feed.

Hey..ive grown Colorado Cookies twice...both times smoke was excellent...you are in for a treat!! Outdoors she did okay, but under lights she did quite well pulling 90grams under cheap 100X3w epistar led's. Good luck on your grow!

Thanks Med,

You have put my mind at rest! My PPM is still at 516 so 300 after deducting my water starting PPM, my rez change is on Thursday so I was going to push it up to 716 so 500 and see how I get on.

Also about taking off leaves, I wouldn't know where to start lol but there is a lot of shoots underneath the main conopy, I have tried looking into exfoliation but can't really find any tutorials and really don't want to screw these plants as my plan was to grow this natural, get some smoke and then start experimenting on my 2nd grow but I am willing to give it a shot if I know I'm definitely aren't going to do damage!

Any tips are welcome! :d5:

Thanks 912, I have been lurking on this forum for a while trying to learn before I got started and your outdoor grows are awesome!

Yes I went for the CC as heard good things about the quality of smoke and also DP'S genetics, just hope I can get to the end of this run and get something out of it, I will be happy with an oz a plant for my first time.

Smart way to do it!! Learn, grow, observe, and then dominate!!

Thanks for the compliment on the outdoor ladies! So far yours are looking great...crossing fingers you get the Chocolate Mint Cookies pheno...one i had was choco mint/menthol...an awesome plant that was a true pleasure to smoke!! The more traditional mango smelling Cookies was amazing as well...really quite impressed with the cookies in general!

@MedGrower @912GreenSkell your input would be appreciated guys as think everything is going ok as plant looks healthy but I don't know if I have root for or not or if the brown is from the res solution, also should I take off some of these fan leaves, as you can see I took off 2 big fan leaves from the top of the one on the left, what do you guys think??

Hey man! Excellent progress and the plant is very fine for her age. Knowing that your plain water EC was a bit over 200, that feed strength also sounds about right. With root rot you should be seeing symptoms also above (as above so below, LOL) and it is looking healthy, vital happy green. Little tanning to the roots is from nutrients, I would assume the culprit here would be rhizotonic but who knows. This looks normal. Remember to smell the reservoir if you suspect root rot ever. It would stink so bad that wouldn't mistake it. Nevertheless I would start giving cannazyme to the feed right about now for the rest of grow. 1ml per litre is enough.

As for the defoliation, do as you see fit, I can only tell what I would do. What I would do at this stage is to start removing biggest leaves from the below of the plant. I also take any stems that look like they won't go anywhere. They are usually very thin and reside at the bottom also. Otherwise, just remove bigger fan leaves and careful not to remove any developing bud sites along with them. Good luck bro! :d5:

Awesome! I really thought I had root rot but there is no nasty smell coming from my res so I think it's all good

I will give the defoliation a shot but I might just do the 1 on the left and see how the 2 compare at the end.

Sorry I should have said also my PPM is actually 900 so 700 after my starting point, I am noticing the tips on the new growth are starting to yellow a bit but wanted to make sure I was feeding and pushing her enough as I was maybe a bit to conservative to start with but I will keep an eye on my ph and PPM.

Thanks also for your kind words in saying she looks good for her age as I thought they are both really small for 30 days comparing to other grows I've seen but I'm just happy there healthy so far.

Thanks again bro much appreciated :thanks:
