New Grower 1st auto Northern Lights grow 78 days outdoor

Hello all
I dropped into the introductions and said hello like i was asked to before making a journal or posting anything.Im growing 2 northern light auto fem seeds outdoors from nirvana they are at 78 days from popping soil.

so first things first my medium setup
3 gallon smart pots
fox farms happy frog
fox farms coco loco
a mix of perlite and vermiculite
My water is Ph'd to 6.5 and the 2 ladies are drinking roughly a gallon every 24 hours now
I used small dose (1/2 tsp) per gallon of big bloom until end of the stretch around day 49
then switched to tiger bloom (1tsp) until day 70 now im 8 days into the flush
Also use azamax in the 4th week due to caterpillars and thrips


i stunted them pretty bad in there first few weeks and now there both still under 16" so my fault better luck next grow but with all the problems with caterpillars and thrips im very pleased with the look and smell of these..All i can say is they would be dead if it was not for this forum and the wealth of knowledge you all provide..thanks a million more times

Now with that being said im not planning on harvesting for atleast another 7-10 days,but id still like a headsup if any of you auto gurus see any issues or deformalities in my meds i know its a bit late to say oh whats this deficiency since i am now flushing plain water.there is normal yellowing from what ive embedded in my head from muddy's awesome stickies so no worries but if anyone has grown this strain outdoors a average timeframe to finish that would be awesome

I'd like as much couchlock stone as possible so I'll let them go as long as needed. I also thought they were both maturing slowly and you clarified that for me.thanks for the advice

I agree with @Chester Maybe a bit longer. The fan leaves will yellow, then the bud leaves will start to yellow, that is harvest time. Might be a good time to start your flush in about a week?

MrMojo thanks for stopping in,I stopped all nutes at beginning of week 10 from seed like muddy's post said to. So should I start feeding bloom again ?I rarely like to use nutes to begin with unless there's a deficiency. I know the heat is getting to them somewhat it's been reaching 95f+ but I'm prepared like I said above to let them go as long as needed I suffer from tremors or like my doc says 1st stage of Parkinson disease. So my meds are very important to me as I will not take prescription medications..So let them go at least 2weeks ? I need couchlock over anything else. Thanks again and happy growing

I had a question to anyone who has grown this strain the larger of the 2 has a strong pine/skunk type smell and this has been the same just getting stronger for weeks.yet the smaller one has a super sweet smell until it's touched or moved then it gives a burst of berries..it's not that I'm worried but intrigued hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me

Someone else is growing a piney/skunk strain here as well. maybe @armanidog Different strains do different things in color, taste, smell, high.

Well, if you need the couch lock then the longer you can let them go the better. But, if you need the meds that is also a huge factor. i;d say hold out as long is prudent for your personal situation. Gotta take into account the drying time and curing time as well (at least two weeks up, to a month-- some folks even go up to two months with jar curing.)

Everything seems to be fattening up daily still and still growing taller tops/foxtailing .im gonna continue flushing ph'd water until they finish.I wish i had a hot tub time machine and could just travel 2 weeks from now.Have a good one all

Nothings changed but a few more dead leaves and thicker white hair buds lol..
had a question for anyone with the knowledge if I take a sample branch off each plant to kill off a week wait will it diminish my harvest a lot?out of my meds and really do not want to but more like a need at this point.Take care all

Go ahead and harvest a couple of the most mature buds ... just take enough to last you thru harvest ... it won't hurt anything ...
