We are doing a nute feeding tonight on the ones that literally sucked the res dry. We went from 2ml for a week, down to 1ml to see how they responded. Well....they got pissed. Should we jump back up to 2ml or try doubling the nutes?
To the ones that took the feedings and ate everything after cutting the dosage in half, we doubled the original feeding concentration (2ml to 4ml.....1 ml to 2 ml etc). PH plummeted on a few and we are pretty sure it was due to pythium. Jacked up Hydroguard and H2O2 (res temps were room temp, 77 degrees) can't run a water chiller on the individual buckets, and adding ice packs or bottles isn't an option so H2O2 and Hydroguard will have to be a constant, I'm afraid. This will be the last individual bucket hydro system I run since we will be upping our count next time. Probably going to go with a RDWC to make things a bit easier (cooler res temps because we can add a chiller, slower fluctuation of PH, not taking 3 hours to do everything). We have everything but the hose and water pumps to do it next time.
Just trying to get this grow under our belt and teach Mrs. Stadanko the ins and outs. So, having these issues has actually been a good thing for teaching. Always find the silver lining in a cloud.
