Hey!
Reputation points, in the real world don't mean much, here at AFN they are just a way of promoting the things we like to see here and letting folks know that their work and sharing is appreciated. An attaboy if you will.
Peace

And, I agree....from what I've read. What hydro grows I have participated in, I feel it gives you full control of her environment. I mean, you're already controlling the "sun", why not the earth as well. ;)

Indeed......but all the gear and strict monitoring needed...............have to admit I've been playing mind games with hydro........do you mind being peppered with noob questions and observations.........

UPDATE:

Our Red Poison 1 doesn't look like she's going to recover from the chemical issue from that new rez. :(
She's all spotted up and just looks sick. All the Red Poisons actually are looking sick, but gonna see what we can do. Bumped cal/mag up on the three to see if we can get some repairing. Hopeful, but doubtful.

*remember...ALWAYS BLEACH, SCRUB, HOT WATER ALL YOUR EQUIPMENT....NEW OR REUSED

Checking PH and PPM levels and alls running the right course! PH from 5.6-5.8 with roughly 160ppms and after 2 days, 6.0-6.2 and 160ppm average. But, they all drank about a cup of water so when added, the PPMs dropped down. Just what we want!

(For an understanding for those not familiar with hydro, here's how that works...
When your PH and PPMs slowly rise remember....they drink the water too. So to get an accurate reading of how much they are enjoying what you feed them, top off your rez with water (RO water because to many variables in PPMs in tap water. Can still be done, but I suck at math ;) ) then take your reading. That will give you the true PPMs. Gives you an idea when it's time for the next feeding whether to lower, maintain, or up the nutes so remember....PH up and PPMs stay same or drop.....SWEET SPOT)

But I swear, in two days time, our Med Gom 1.0 and our S.O.D.K exploded in growth! Our babies are stretching has slowed and now the second set of serrateds have grown in.

Posting pics in two days to show comparison of a 4 day difference.

Looks like a cal/mag deficiency....maybe even Potassium. So adjusted two days ago to see what happens. None of the roots for RD1 have touched water yet, so hoping once the roots dive in, they will take off like the rest!

(Excuse the ballast interference. Snuck these in during "play time" for our girls to give ha an idea of what we mean)
