What up, JT?! Avoiding some of the early mistakes I made my last grow is DEFINITELY making a difference! Things are going well right now, but until the cure is done, I'm still a little nervous. If increasing your yield is this easy, I will be scrogging every grow, no doubt!

I hear ya bro...I'm always hit and miss with my cure! Honestly think its the biggest wild card in growing. I don't get how one harvest dry's perfect and smells great and the next in same room under same condiotions (rh/temp) comes out smelling like hay! The buddy who makes the diy led's told me how he does his soo imma try it this time and see if I have much luck! His stuff is always cured perfect soo let's see if it works for me! He takes off all the fan leaves 24hrs b4 harvest..then he gives her the 24hrs of dark..then trims her up and drys her on a screen in small buds to dry for only 4 days..then he paper bags it till she is dry enough to go to jars. Hope it works..its not far off what I do now soo we shall see..

Well my buddy has been growing for around 15yrs now both commercially and recreationaly soo I kinda figure he knows what he's doing by now! Lol hes am electrician by trade soo his set ups are always stellar as is his ganja! He is a licensed grower as well soo all is kosher!

If he shares with you the process he uses, throw that info my way, if you don't mind. My last dry, my rh was way low, so the buds dried out a bit faster and drier than I was wanting. Nothing too bad, but just not what I planned. I'm guessing the paper bag method will slow things down a bit, so I am wanting to give it a try so I can decide which method works better for me

This is how he laid it out for me...
1: after flush no water for 48 hrs b4 harvest
2: 24 hrs b4 harvest remove as many fan leaves as possible.
( he says it gives less umwanted nutes amd stuff for the buds to draw from as well as it stresses the plant a bit for more resin)
3: 24hr dark period again to further stress plant forcing resin production.
4: trim plant as usual
5: break up big buds into smaller buds
6: screen dry for 4 days
7: paper bag up until u reach ur desired level of dryness
8: jar or cvault. He uses a cvault on his recreational grows
9: enjoy!!
He likes his rh at about 60 and his temp around 70. Give or take....

I found that drying one day less, so just one day per 10% RH would leave it sticky icky for a longer time. The bud will still be wet when you stick it in the jars, but burping for a few hours over the next 4-5 days leaves it dry enough to hit hard and sticky enough to burn slow.

I dried at 1 day for every 10%, plus an extra day. That extra day was an extra day too much. If I hang dry this time, I will leave out the extra day
