I have time between now and my summer outdoor to do one pollen run. I will temporarily freeze the pollen, and then pollinate the chosen strain with another plant of the same strain, and also do some single branch crosses for fun with other strains. I have Dutch Passion (haven't actually grown any yet) and Mephisto strains (I have a bunch, but have chosen the two I have on hand that are the most stable). I'm looking for which you would choose and why?

The contenders are:

Mephisto:
Sour Stomper (F7)
Double Grape (F7)

Dutch Passion:
Glueberry OG (?)
Daiquiri Lime (?)
Lemon Kix (?)
Brooklyn Sunrise (?)

Alternative question: Does anyone know Dutch Passion's release paradigm in terms of what generation they go public with? F4, F5, F6, F7...?

Other notes; the person I grow for has loved pretty much everything I've grown for her over the last five years, she's not picky. She does have a very high tolerance and needs potent meds, she prefers Indica fruity flavors but Sativa energetic highs. She goes through a lot, but I grow enough that any mid-to-large sized plants can get us where we need to be.

Sour Stomper is a fan favorite around here... almost always find it, or one of my SS crosses in my tent. Am also a fairly heavy user with pretty high tolerances (approximately an oz a week). This is Sour Stomper X Gold Glue. It has since been crossed with a male from autoflower portal and sits at F1 until spring. (Not sure whether I'll go to F2 or back cross to the SSxGG again.. and again... but now with female and male)
Have not run any DP, have run the majority of Mephistos gear, pretty rock solid start with either the SS or the DG


PS... am also an indica junkie... sativas are great, but a good indica .... that's where you'll usually find me.

Since Mephisto loved Sour Stomper enough to cross it numerous times, I am leaning towards it (Double Grape = Sour Stomper x Grape Crinkle). It seems like a solid strain to have a stash of, and one worthy of making F1 crosses with. I'm very interested to see what would come of crossing it with Dutch Passion strains.

I'm not sure why, but I'm finding it a little harder to get information about DP strains. I haven't really wrapped my brain around what their specific reputation is, other than generally being respected. I've gathered from reading through threads here that some of their strains that I have, have been around for a few years (found a thread indicating that Brooklyn Sunrise was first released in 2015, for instance). Others seem newer (like Lemon Kix), but I don't know if like Mephisto they will release them as F1 testers and then F3-4 in subsequent releases while taking their favorites further (often to F7 or beyond)?

I hear you. The person I grow for if given the choice between a delicious but sedate indica or a peppy diesel/skunk sativa, would sacrifice flavor for the kind of high where she can work in the garden or get other stuff done. I myself am more of an end of the day stoner, and prefer an indica leaning hybrid. The lines are blurring with all the crazy hybridization going on.

I was an early 80's stoner too. I remember the first time someone showed me a dense little bud with no seeds in it, and called this mysterious package "sensimilla". We thought he paid a crazy amount of money for it, and went back to our big bags of stuff I'd compost if someone handed it to me today. Eventually we caught up. I didn't smoke between about 1984 and 2004, things really changed during those decades.

High school was 81-85, and I grew up in the east bay nor-cal... every November the green would start appearing from Humboldt... lime green, hard as rocks, smelled like no other skunk around. At the time it was going by Donkey Balls in our area. Usually gone by this time of year and switching back to the dirt weed run up over the boarder. Was always trying to hang onto a couple nugs for new years... didn't happen often.

Some good times were had. Hoping for a few more!

High school for me was 79-83, but I was in MA with little proximity to good stuff. We used to go over to UMass to look for supply... god, when I think of the things I used to do, not sure where on the spectrum it falls, somewhere between ballsy and stupid. Definitely some good times though - 'long strange trip' and all that.

oh hell yea, a lot of hold my beer times! And probably on the stupid side of the scale... but, we made it. Smarter and not quite so frisky.
A lot I'd do differently... an awful lot I fear I'd do the exact same.

Class of 76 here. Not quite a hippie, but I did make it to the city fountain where lovely naked girls would get arrested for their nakedness. I was around 12 then and wouldn't have know what to do with it, but I sure liked looking!

Btw, DP is one of the most established breeders in the business. Their auto strains, in particular, are well known for their yield and potency! Disclaimer: I have never grown a DP strain ... yet, but I do have a couple I plan on starting soon. I'm a Meph-head for the most part, but I do like to grow other crosses on occasion.

I got a 3 pack each of Think Different and Blue Auto Mazar. I got a 4 pot Auto-pot system to try them out. I'm also going to have a couple Creme da la Chem, (my favorite Mephisto strain). I need to get my ass in gear, but I might have just broke my toe, (I dropped a 1/2 gallon mason jar full of weed on it).
