I just got the mineral/nutrient pack. Big Box bale of peat, aeration mix of perlite/rice hulls/a little biochar, compost mix of EWC/Bus Blend. Equal portions.

I didn't have a soil pH tester when I mixed it up. It sat for a few months before using and I just potted it up. I noticed my cover crop/clovers where a little pale, my cannabis seedling was too small to get a read yet.

Snagged a Gain style soil meter off Amazon, every LOS bin was around 5.0. Checked some OF for reference, that was a nice 6.8ish.

I am in the process of converting from hydro to full on organics and fell for the "You don't need to check pH" line. Not true. Lesson learned.

Today is day 23 from sprout. It’s been about a week since I first noticed symptoms. The only thing I’ve done so far is raise the light to 30” and switched from 24/0 to 20/4. I’m probably going to do an epsom foliar tonight and am looking to do a light top dress this weekend with BuildASoil’s Build-a-Flower which is EWC, compost and flower nutrient and mineral sources.

The interveinal chlorosis continues to show up on most newer growth. As the plant is growing bigger, the first leaves that showed discoloration are not getting any worse.

I am seeing some rolling on some of very young leaves, but it looks like the rolling improves as the leaves get bigger.

I’ve watered once this week (2000ml) on Wednesday PH’d to 6.6. I’ve checked soil PH with a probe a couple times. Once it measured low - maybe 5.8, but the other times were between 6-6.5.

Not sure, but it's odd that it happens consistently. Maybe I got a sack of acidic peat? LOL.

I didn't have a reliable soil pH tester while mixing, but you can be sure going forward I will ensure that the pH is "in range" prior to starting a run. I made some 15+ gallon sips that I intended to no-till. But if the pH isn't in range post harvest -- I'll till in some lime.

I'm starting to treat Calcium as a macro, and I'd probably top dress with Dolomite/Oyster Shell 50:50 at less than full rate. That would mitigate any pH drop + give calcium + give mag. But I'm still learning myself.

I’ve got the Accurate 8 probe that @Waira recommends to everyone with PH issues. I think it’s around $60.

Would there be anything wrong with uping the PH of the water going in if my soil is in fact on the low side to even it out or would you recommend amendments?

I just got mine and loving it! I also have the Hanna HI9813-6. good quality instruments are worth every penny IME. Blue Labs has Hanna's Groline beat from reading all the reviews thus my purchase.
