Indoor Zaaboot has gone to pot 2022 auto spree

Day 49
  • hey hey you lovely lovelies - I trust everyone is doing well.

The tent is in full swing and the smells coming out are the way I like it - Stinky McStonker.

The Predator is lovely, very nice structure, the buds are joining up the colas now and from what I can see it is essentially going to be just buds with very little airspace, she is still pumping out hairs like a 1995 Eastern European shot Putter during training....she took a bit of a beating this week, she took the super cropping of about 5 or 6 big side branches to open space, a major defoliation or 3 and she keeps taking it, I get the feeling that when I am not looking she laughs at me...good for her I say. All the branches that were laid down have shaped up and teh side buds are all now facing upwards - i do like it when that happens.

Drinking a lot, every second day I am adding 19.8 litres of mix to the res.
Last time my plants drank that much in the wimla they started to weep, odd as you like it - this brown sugary sap was seeping out of the CDLCxFS, the buds were lovely and smelt great - but, what a shit smoke, not in the strength but the smell and taste were ruined by the sap, imagine smoking sugar. After lots and lots of reading my conclusion is that they drank far too much and as they were happy doing so they kept drinking then had to release excess which was over what they could perspire resulting in this sappy stuff. Anyway, based on that - the drippers have been turned off for today to let things dry up with a view to recalibrate their uptake to a sensible levels. I must say I have not had that phenomenon before, but it sucked so I shall do what U can to ensure it doesn't happen again.

On another note - smoke report for Cali Doctor - CBD:THC both at circa 8%
dried and bagged for a couple of weeks or so, open up to make balm which I use for Arthritis.

The smell and smoke is very citrusy, beyond orange and lemon, entering the world of Grapefruits.
She hits quickly for a CBD and the hit after a large puritan joint is clean, energising and with a touch of body after a short while. Definitely a sterling day time smoke leaving you able to focus when needed, on the flip side you can definitely have a good sit down and write up on your favorite site without noticing the time go by.

Anyway, I really have to get back to work - I took a year out, and now I cant find a new job...what a bloody stoner

    take care all

    Slaughtered Lamb_Time for a smoke
  • So, after a few weeks in a Grove bag, I cracked open one of the Slaughtered Lamb bags, this was the one that grew in the 39ltr Fabric bag with Ecothrive LIving Soil.

    - Smell, she has calmed down a lot since coming down - now the smell is very sweet, with a musky/cheesy feet undertones and the hint of Durian is still there that was prominent during flower.

    - Smoke is very soft, smoking a fat puritan barely drew a cough from me - the taste continues with the sweet theme at inhale, during exhale there is an nice unexpected freshness followed again by a smooth Durian

The first joint gave a nice high, a few giggles without laziness - the second joint was less uplifting and hit the body nicely and leaves me where I am now :smoking:

Really enjoyable joint to smoke with a complex set of aromas with its foundation built on Durian and sweetness.

    Predator - day 55
  • The Predator is lovely - I liked her when in soil, and now she is once again very well structured, stocky with close nodal spacing, she will just meld together and become a big bud mutant :crying:

Anyway, at 55 days I can’t be happier - so far she has been plug and play, once she rooted she just clicked in to drive and off she went.
she has started to emit a lovely fruity dank smell, more fresh than dank but still early days.
Not sure how much she is drinking but between the 3 plants the res is getting 19.8ltr top up every second morning. She is also not shy when it comes to nutes, sitting at 2.2EC and lapping it up.

not sure if she is running slower than other Predator diaries but either way, I am pleased and can’t wait. The last Predator I grew in soil was an absolute delight to smoke but tiny so even with the available selection her grove bag was depleted very quickly, the target with this one is to bag up the plant for a few months, there is no reason to cut the heat seal other than greed:shrug:

Question to you coco growers out there, my bloom nutrients will run out this run. I have no affinity to any brand and do tend to grab anything really for my grow and bloom two parts.
Currently it is Green Haze from Growth Technology - I have tried many over the years and in my opinion there is very little in it, some of the “extras” on the other hand I swear by such as Remo Velokelp for foliar and GG monosilic during veg.
So any recommendations for my next 5ltr Bloom nutes?

update on the krayfishing - I trapped a measly 3,not Even enough for a sarnie. If summer arrives I will give it another pop, hopefully catch enough for a boil. It’s odd this time last year you could sit and watch them crawling into the traps there were so many…

ta ta for now - stay well!

Sweet Bourbon Auto Kush - smoke time
  • The SBAK 1 @SuperSativaSeedClub_John came down in April, today I opened the grove bag and was greeted with a very fresh pine smell with a spicy peppery follow up.
The buds were in great shape after sitting in the grove & fridge for a few months - just right texture, very slightly crisp to the touch, sticky with a little give.
Breaking open a nugget and you are greeted with a very peppery smell with earth and pine.

The smoke is very smooth, leaving the room smelling of old school Kush, no chemical smell or taste, just that of pine fresh with pepper, the exhale really gives out the earthy spice.
The first joint is a pleasant hit, very relaxing without couchlock, left me active but in my own little world, the second joint left me sitting writing this :smoking:
Overall great plant, very easy to grow, heavy yielder, respectable resin production (hash made from fresh frozen SBAK earlier in the thread somewhere) and a smooth tasty smoke.

    Predator - 61 days
  • Hello all - been away again, just got back - so a quickie to show how she is getting along. The frost fairy visited again

feed is still at 2.2EC and PH at 6 today - waiting for the finish line

her nuggets are incredibly solid with a lovely frosting, still fattening up to go but not too long now.
What baffles me is mine always seem to take longer as I have seen the Predator down in 65 days but I have to assume there is two weeks left. Does not bother me regarding time so much - more of a question why

    cheers

    Away again
  • So then, being I am just back from a couple of days away - I am off again in a bit for a week….twat I be!
anyway, got my shit together, and bodged another feeder system for the Wilma. The last tank was massive - so I am using the tank I used for the Blumats in soil.

100ltr tank with one way feed to the Wilma res which has a stop cock cut into the side. The 100 tank has a air stone and a water fan to keep it moving quite aggressively to stop any residue from sitting, EC in the big tank is set at 1.8, with evaporation etc I expect the Wilma res will hover around 2 to 2.2 EC which is what I want.

    Day 71 - Sawneys Predator
  • Hello you lovelies - how are you all? I trust you are all keeping well and spending time in the sun at the beach, river or whatever!
Drives me nuts all these doom mongers saying we are going to melt in to a pool of our own urine whilst trees sing songs and the sun explodes in to 7 pieces with 4 of them heading straight for the M5 Corridor!!! twats

Anyway, once again I have been away for 8 days this time, I set the watering system up before I went and this timer it went without drama. The wilma res is circa 45/50 litres and the water butt I used this time is 100ltrs, I got back late last night and the butt was empty and the water fan had burned out and the wilma res had about an inch swilling around teh bottom...so not bad, they had a drink.
The heat in the garage has been OK, and with the extra insulation that is teh lung room, the temps inside the tent have reached a maximum of 28.7 which is absolutely fine.

Added another 100ltrs to the butt this morning making the nute solution up of Green Haze Bloom A&B, calmag, Buddhas tree PK9-18 to an EC of 2.2, dropped the PGH to 5.8 and will allow that to creep back to 6.2 before dropping it again.

I thought about adding my air conditioning unit to the Inkbird controller this morning but decided against it, waste of electricity and with the high temps not really being that hot I will leave them at their 27/28/29 today and see how it goes the rest of the week.

Started taking pictures but my phone died so only a couple of snaps - the Predator is frosting up like there is no tomorrow (all three are to be fair), her buds are getting nice and fat and have been solid as a rock for a while now. Expecting a week to 10 days more before the chop.
The other two from Auto seeds are doing swimming along - the Acapulco gold has an unholy amount of crystal coating, the Pink Runtz has kept her lovely pink colourings and has continued to fatten up and has some lovely long colas.

When I get charged back up I will take more snaps and post in the other diary to update that with the Auto seeds. Anyway - Top wizard is @Sawney_bean, I have been away for nearly half of this grow, the Predator has essentially grown herself which helps.

Acapulco gold from @Autoseeds.com - stunning lady she is

Anyway, on my galivants over the past week I bumped into an old hippy friend of mine down on the coast - anyway, as one must I acquired some of his wares.
A nice bit of Maroc export grade. You can't beat the flavour, I love hash ever so much - and when I make my own it is strong and lovely blah blah blah but never will taste like this
    C4E9B856-7665-4CDE-9D96-4278F5B1579C.jpeg

Plants are still on auto pilot, the three of them work well together and will wrap up at similar times so I won't hang around - all three will come down at the same time, and the next four will go in to their 'chicken poo starter home' in the next few days. I will start them off in the drying tent and swap them over once these ladies are down.

    Next batch will be:
JLO F2 - a breeder from the US swapped this for some seeds, these seeds came from a cutting of Juanita La Lagrimosa which as been coined the mother of all CBD plants, and has been crossed with an Auto OG to F2.

Two seeds from @SuperSativaSeedClub_John one is Purple Punch and the other Afghan X Northern Lights X Auto, after my last SSSC run I am very much looking forward to these.

The last one is to be decided, either something from my Mephisto box, or something I got in a swap from a chap named QTIP in the US. 9 Hammer x Pure Power Plant, with the PPP coming from a cutting in Colorado and no idea where the hammer came from, PPP was my all time favorite plant for many many years and one of the very first plants I ever grew. I remember it well - I had a little NFT table, a 400w MH bulb and 600w HPS bulb to swap when flowering. I used Canadian Express nutrients. I got the seeds from Amsterdam at the Dutch Passion store must have been in 97 or 98 (as it was released), I grew the gangliest shittiest looking plants the world has ever seen.
I knew not of something called 'stretch' so I kept them growing until they were the height I wanted then flipped, they grew like bastard triffids and took over every nook and cranny in my little manor, very few buds around - but it was all mine and I grew it and the taste is teh one thing I have never forgotten and have not found the same since. Anyway, stoned waffling over for now

    Cheerio all

    Predator
  • The final plans are being drawn up as to how to pull the Predator from the tent without causing too much traffic for the other two.

I still need to charge my microscope to take a closer look but using ‘eyes’ she looks pretty ripe, hard to tell who is drinking what but between the three of them including evaporation circa 15litrs every 24hrs.

She has stopped swelling, she is offering a very nice deep creamy, musky aroma with a touch of fruity fresh at the back. Unless my eyes are deceiving me she continues to find and add sugar, which is the only reason she is still alive. In theory looking at other diaries most predators are down by now - no worries either way, she has been force fed this time around and she likes It!

I would like to take thewhole pot out to take a snap of the plant without the other two photobombing every opportunity they have - that .

    Sawneys Predator_day 73
  • So pleased i grew this again with my soil efforts being so poor with respect to everything other than quality - she really is a grand lady, short and tough, heavy drinker, coped with EC 2.2 and above for most of her adult life, and not a twitch.
For me she is not yet ripe and will come down closer to the end of this coming week, she stinks to high heaven - very musky smell with chemical undertones. Solid nuggets that are covered in crystal - happy days

    The final readouts are:
    E.C 2.2
    Ph 6
    Temp 23 - 26

I must confess, i am rather frustrated with the state of affairs in the tent, it seems to be becoming a bit of a habit, start a grow, skip around and miss most of the grow. This really has to be better managed, I would very much prefer to have defoliated them all many many many more times than what they have had, luckily I do clean the underside so there will not be any larf. Note to self - stay at home more and offer a more presentable tent.

    cheerio all - stay well
