watering rings
Cheers Dell
They are Netbow drippers by Natafim, pretty chuffed with them - a fair bit cheaper than the alternatives and work very well - from here
I got the small ones, but have now ordered the bigger ones as the small ones are a touch too small for my pots.

Morning all - I trust you all had a pleasant weekend and you are keeping well!
They had a clean up shortly after the last picture was taken and today once again they have come back with a vengeance - which I will happily accept. They will need some more work just taming the Purple Punch really, teh others are set in their places now and have only one thing to to do.

I opened the Rokzbastic from Atami, which was a sample from the Atami guys to try out instead of my regular PK which has been Buddhas Tree PK 9-18. Anyway, this stuff comes out of the bottle like an over soft poo, and sticks to bloody everything, I mean I couldn't get my pipette clean after dosing it out, eitherway, if it works well - poo is fine with me.

The other thing I have been using this time around is Root Tonic from Growers Ark, they have been around for Donkeys and years ago I ran a few Photo/fem grows with their stuff and was happy, once again this was handed to try out - and this stuff smells like nothing I have ever come across, after having spent a little bit of time in oil fields in Saudi and Yemen where they are burning the gasses as part of the oil drilling (flaring) , the methane burning smell is about 67% of how shitty this stuff smells.
Anyway, after mixing up my big res the other night (220ltr flex tank), going back in the garage the next morning I have never been greeting with such a foul aroma, I mean god lord it made my eyes water and made me spit out my tea....fek what a smell, I suppose on the upside the neighbours must now think I am producing synthetic manure en-masse and any thoughts (if they had them) of weed being grown are now definitely out of the window.

Oops, I digress - the EC is sitting happy at 1.6, it went up to 1.8 but I saw some slight tip discoloration so watered it back down to 1.6 by adding 40 litres of RO to the big tank. The PH is another story, the chap at Growers Ark I met with is the chap that has been conjuring up their nutrients for many moons and is a coco grower mainly although he dabbles in other mediums as well for testing, anyway, he swears that if the EC used in Coco sits at 6.4 more nutrients will be available to teh plant for longer due to the nature of coco - well, I have been using coco for a fair bit more than 20yrs and I have always had my PH start at 5.8 and allowed to drift upwards to 6.2 before adjusting, to me that was sound as if you look at the various parameters for the different elements the vast majority fit within the 5.8 to 6.2 range with a coupe of outliers. So This time I have tried to keep it within the vicinity of 6.4 and allowed it to creep downwards but keeping at 6 and above throughout. Thus far, I can tell no difference whatsoever - the proof is in the puding so we shall wait and see if anything has improved as a result - I should not I forgot to drill my pots this time a well which is a shame as the comparison will not be as sound as my pots are normally heavily drilled.

some snaps from this morning - the look tired as it is nearly their bed time

Looking good in there Z!!!
Love all that high stress training you do… it’s obviously paying off for you.

Purple Punch
She is pretty much all that can be seen now - she has most certainly taken over the tent. Luckily the ickle NLxAfghan at the back will be own in 10 days or so, and I will be able to spread her out a little. Also had to raise the light a bit more today as she is still reaching for the sky - everything else looking fine and dandy.
drinking has remained at 10 litres a day for the four pants, the Mephisto runt (more of an ugly duckling) has come in to her own and has some nice crowns with tight nodal spacing.

She is on her way now, a bit straggly looking with slender buds but still has time to fatten up, this said a great amount of crystal on her. Whilst taking a look, please do feel free to ignore the yellow leaf tips.

Bloody Royal Mail again, last week I ordered some more CBD and it took over a week to arrive, and Friday I ordered the bigger Netafim drippers, and they are still not here, and they are on strike again in a couple of days. I really want those drippers, these little ones are prime and I have been very impressed with them, but with the pot size I have the bigger ones should be touch better for coverage.

Anyway, with the yellowing of the leaves in theory I should do a quick flush through and reset the res, but as the others are all fine and are running a touch behind I can only assume that their intake of various elements changes leaving the faster plant overfed with the others content - of course it could just be to heavy a feed for tat single lass.

Today I plan on going shrooming, I am so bad at finding them though - I end up getting high drinking a can of Guinness on the side of a hill somewhere enjoying the view and fresh air and tend to return with nothing. So I have my focus head on today, only going to smoke CBD until i find my first shroom. Such a grand Idea, lets see if I make it out of the house  (note to self: get back to work, that's enough time off now)

toodlepip you lovelies

Morning all - had to supercrop the tallest branch on the Purple Punch, she was getting too tall, I could move the light more but it will just keep getting further away from the other ladies.
So, as much as I would like to show what I did I ballsed it up and snapped the branch, I have held her up with e Yo-Yo, hoping she welds herlsef backtogether by tomorrow.

She'll bounce back like a champ bro.
I hope so, it was a pretty clean snap  but a weed is a weed at the end of the day it will do what it can to pass on its genes and staying alive is part of it.

On Another note - my new drippers arrived today, they are double the size of the ones I installed a couple of weeks ago - after a quick swap around and test it is all working well.

this first pic is actually a video, but when I upload it becomes a photo

Perfect fit and it has given me an idea, the smaller rings fit nicely inside the larger one - so, I could have 2 rings to each pot one outer and one inner - this will essentially create the effect of rain covering most of teh pot, at the same time reduce the amount of coco and increase he clay pebbles and increase the high frequency fertigation. In my head it all makes sense, by reducing the coco and increasing the balls it should increase the amount of air available at all times and with less holding on to the water they can be watered more often.

Anyway, off to the drawing board
