lets see if anyone can come up with another solution in LS, post your setup picture and a brief explanation of what is going on and I know if there is a solution we will find it

COMMENTS:

Light schedule has been changed to 18/6.
Lights off period will be when the outside sun and temps are at their hottest.
Primarily as a means to control the temps on Campus, and to help the heat stressed girls.
It's a quick fix, but the obvious first change to make.
External temps are expected to reach around 38°C today, so changed couldn't have come at a better time!
Eventually I'll have to drill a hole in an external wall to provide an exhaust for the air-con, but with the amended light schedule and the air-con, I'm confident we'll get on top of the temps quickly.

UPDATE: Day 10 ... (for some, but not all)

LIGHTING: ... 2 X 600W
SCHEDULE: ... 18/6
TEMPERATURE: ... ~ 27°C [+/-2°C]
HUMIDITY: ... ~ 45 RH% [+/-5 RH%]
POT/MEDIUM: ... O.5l pot with BioBizz Lite soil

NUTRIENTS:
nil
WATER pH: ... 6.5
WATER EC: ... 1.2
QUANTITY: ... nil

COMMENTS:

Temps seem to be more under control now.
However, there is something else I believe I need to address sooner, rather than later.

The small pots (0.5l) were used to germinate, with the thought to transplant once they were established.
It was done to keep the footprint of 16 plants to a smaller, more manageable size, for as long as possible, to minimise light requirements. It was also done to motivate vigorous root development post-transplant.

However, I'm not happy with the temperature of the pots themselves.
The smaller pots seem very susceptible to 'getting hot' under the lights.
Warm pot = warm root area = major problems.

So my thought now is to move them to their final resting posts.

A pain in the ass for me - more lighting needed, more watering, major stress on an already fragile temperature management system, less manoeuvrability ... BUT, better for the plants.

I think its very strain dependent.
I'm also a HUGE believer and stickler for controlling the environment.
The way I see it, if you totally, anally, obsessively control the environment, then you allow the plant to express itself fully and optimally.

It's not healthy though - I lose sleep over it - and stress about the tiniest variation from what I perceive to be the 'sweet spot'.
Other than that, I do nothing different.

Seeds are seeds.
Water is water.
Lights are lights.

Your plant is suuuuper hungry my friend, it looks like your soil doesn't have ANY nutes in it. So I would get the lightest of light feed solution and water In a circle giving about an inch or two between the water circle and the young plant. this is delicate as it gets so be careful and mix up something like 100ppms or something suuuuper low like that

UPDATE: Day 11 ... (for some, Day 7 for others)

LIGHTING: ... 2 X 600W
SCHEDULE: ... 18/6
TEMPERATURE: ... ~ 27 °C [+/- 3 °C]
HUMIDITY: ... ~ 45 RH% [+/-5 RH%]
POT/MEDIUM: ... O.5l pot with BioBizz Lite soil

NUTRIENTS:
House & Garden Roots Excelurator @ 0.3ml/l
Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur Grow A+B @ 1.5ml/l
Advanced Nutrients B52 @ 1.0ml/l
Advanced Nutrients Voodoo Juice @ 1.0ml/l
Advanced Nutrients Revive @ 1.0ml/l
WATER pH: ... 6.5
WATER EC: ... 1.5
QUANTITY: ... to runoff

COMMENTS:

Tent environment seems in order.
Temps around 28 °C (+/- 1 °C) during lights on, and around 25 °C (+/- 1 °C) during lights off.
Humidity seems constant too.
I'm happy with the environment now, so time to concentrate on the feedback from the plants.

have to say the HubbaBubbaSmelloScope Auto has been relatively stress free.
OK, so they germinated in two groups - 2 early, and 2 a few days later, but that's not really an issue.
The slightest of edge curl to the oldest leaves, which would have been the initial heat stress, which has now been brought under control.

Just to help, I gave them a low dose of my 'go to' first aid kit - Advanced Nutrients Revive.

Everything else is as per Advanced Nutrients feeding schedule.
