Nice to see some little BuKu flowers - hope they continue on to be big fattys for you!
If you still have Mr BuKu - and this is just my 2 cents - why not have a go a tkeeping him alive in a different spot if you can? That way, if he dies before giving pollen no major loss and might be a good learning experience at seeing how much neglect can cope with etc etc as well as a go at pollinating. Could use him to try different stuff like LSTing and/or cloning etc as well...
Im obviously by no means experienced at breeding etc so others can feel free to correct me here but with some of yr ?s in previous posts about breeding - yep ya can do just one branch or just one bud rather than the whole plant - obviously some pollen can travel (fans off etc etc while pollinating and its setting helps). Im not sure how long will take for a photo to ripen but Ive found with the auto males they go fairly quick so that the pollen can start being distributed while the female flowers are young and have time to mature (so shouldnt have to keep alive as long as mum). If crossing a photo with auto - say BuKu male with Assassin fem I think the first seeds collected woul be a perrcentage auto and photo (maybe 50% but Im sure others can give an accurate number). Then if from those plants that auto'd, if an auto fem was crossed with an auto dad the seeds from those will have a higher percentage of autos (75%??) but still some photos as the genes are kicking on. With more generations the more stable the auto characteristc should become (along with other traits being more stable if selecting certain phenos to use as a breeding line). Like I say though, I stand to be corrected on all that...
I hear what yr saying about stress free with autos as far as light sensitivity etc though. I definetely wanna get some nice photos and their clones happening inside whilst still keeping the autos running inside and out so we are lucky to have such a choice at our disposal these days! Hats off to all the breeders and those that get the seeds out there!
Hopijg your keeping well there matey :smokebuds:
