Dutch Passion Who is this new guy, anyways?

I've found that not all autos will amber up. ...Also with Dutch passion I've 100% germination rates, one of those company's that you can pretty much guarantee your seeds will pop....I wouldn't give up on DP, some of the best weed I've smoked has been from them...
What ever you decide to do, have fun

Thanks Marty. The first thing I wanted to write about was the high.
Good to know that some autos won't amber. I do expect them to fatten up, though.

Strictly speaking, they all germinated. They weren't strong enough to lose their shell after they emerged.

hmmmm, I've seen the same trouble with DP seeds and others have too, @Yozhik reports similar in the vicinity of here https://www.autoflower.org/threads/yozhik-grow-5-dutch-passion-think-different.56926/#post-1297496

Does DP treat their seeds with some secret ingredients perhaps or is it just strong genetic casings........

Thats alright bro, I think I might have read your intention wrong. I am sorry to hear that you are having pains! ...we have found that BlueAutoMazar has worked surprisingly well for pain

No worries, MG. reading back, I can see how you'd think so.

I have had high CBD flowers and extracts from the dispensary. They are good for times when I have to think clearly, and they are not available very often, so I have been thinking of ordering some.

Probably the most potent pain relief I have had is called Annihilator Kush, with 14%THC and 7%!CBD. Great ratio for pain, but the very heavy stone makes it suitable only for evenings. For me, it feels kind of like hash-plant but stronger. I have been looking for seeds or clones ever since.

I love Blueberry(ind) taste and effects, and most Kush/Afghan strains serve me well. I looked at the BAM (love the acronym). I held back when I read DPs statement that there are variations and with 2 or more plants in my tiny tent, consistency makes things much easier. After reading about your results, I will take another look.

LOL- maybe better for long term storage Ha-ha

I have always been afraid of using sandpaper, I don't want to ruin expensive seeds.

If I've planted seeds too shallow in my root root cube before, and shedding the casing can sometime be a pain if they're not deep enough. That's my only thinking as to why two haven't and two have.

Interesting idea, Marty. I had not thought of that. Worth a shot!

I use GH RapidRooters, and just drop the seeds in the hole provided. Usually works like a charm. Next time I try a DP auto, I will plant one deeper and see what happens.

more than 1/4 inch and no more than a full 1/2 inch seems to be thee best space or depth to sow a bean imho.

I should take a pencil and see how deep the holes are, and if they are very consistent.

I see from your badges that you are an LED user. Is there anything special I should know about Autos under LED?

The lights I have really encourage resin from fem seeds and the clones I got from a friend. But I wondered if it was a factor in my girls not fattening up last time. I thought of adding some CFL to see if that helps, but 210 watts is more than my 2x2 tent, and I shudder at adding more to the electric bill.

I use a small screwdriver or similar. jewelers screwdriver actually LOl measured just the slightest tick less than 1/2 inch and taped it big so I can easily do each planting hole and have constant consistency. :D but I do soil and/or seedling mixes. but the root roits or similar. thats what I use sometimes. but not really other then just have to possibly double up on cal mag,but the plant'll tell you bro. but ohter than that the distance is the biggest mistakes or oversights i see are the light too close when dealing with LED's and autos.or photos for that matter. use the veg footprint and roughly 2 feet or more to start. go easy,if they stretch when young lower it by roughly 6-8 inches per day and see the results. easy ion the early on and you'll do well.

Thanks for the tape-tip. I have an empty pen barrel that will do the trick.

Well, I gave the poor girls a couple more days, but yesterday I culled them and shut everything down.
Time to give everything a good cleaning. I will throw away this soil just in case.

In addition to the strains suggested, I've looked at some autos that have strong THC plus high CBD. I have my eye on a couple, but suggestions for heavier strains are always welcome. I will be around, learning over the next 3-4 months until after I harvest some photo's. I may plant that last Mazar seed one day, after I have had a bit more experience with these newfangled auto critters.
