Mephisto Genetics White Crack and Kis Organics Soil

Can't wait to see your cross! With your exceptional plant reading skills, gonna be something to look forward to!

Will be a fabulous idea to create a friendly grow off with us all doing your cross on LOS! Of course, will need you to stabilize the selected crosses and choose your fave.
Gonna be a little while before I get them done, but I most certainly will spread the wealth once they are ready. Who knows, maybe White Crack Crosses by Slowandeasy might create some nice plants?! If things go as planned, I will be collecting a lot of Pollen and will have some nice plants to 5dust them with WC pollen. I see numerous people selling Mephisto Crosses and personally I think using White Crack as the main pollen donor will mix well with most strains. I was thinking that hitting some of the Sativa/Haze strains that it could bring a whole other element to them? White Mamgo Smile sounds like a winner. The Sativa/Haze strains got very large for me. So adding WC might make them a more managable size for most growers. I am really looking forward to this! Peace, slow

I dont think the average of White Crack is that high. It is a medium sized plant, and Mephisto doesnt embelish on the size/yields like many breeders do. I believe 2-3oz was theri average. I have done 30+ of them. Until now all in small pots of Coco and they did exactly 2-3 oz per plant. I would not choose her for a 40x40 by herself. She wont yield as much as other strains could by themselves to be honest. What other seeds do you have? I could cross 3 Bears OG with White Crack. I have some 3 BOG. Maybe some Chemdoggin x White Crack? I am gonna try it in time! My New Years Goal is to start my White Crack I will use for reversing. I will hold off starting the other until I get some pollen.
I have some freebies from Mephisto called White Chem, I believe it is the whitecrack x chemdogging.

Yesterday I applied another round of BTI. Not sure it's doing anything, the traps are telling me if anything it is getting worse. While pruning some dead leaves I did some serious scouting.... And I have fucking thrips too. First time I have seen one, now I know what to look out for (and how to check) but fuck. Probably had them for a while, but I really didn't notice anything different on the traps -- will pay closer attention now.

I knew at some point I'd have to deal with this, but it's introduced some seeds of doubt.
- The wisdom of running a single tent perpetual
- The decision to go LOS. In hydro I could just nuke everything with h202.

I might have gotten them anyhow, but... How do you prevent fungus gnats when your whole top layer of soil is damp fungus?

I have plants in late flower and early flower. Spraying spinosad seems dicey at this point, I could probably pull and spray the early flowers but not sure there is a lot of value in spraying a portion of the plants. Dr Zymes is non-toxic, ORMI and supposedly safe for spraying anytime, but not sure about that either.

My current plan is to try and avoid spraying anything, and ordering some nematodes, predatory mites and some pirate bugs. Hell, I'd let some ladybugs loose if I thought they wouldn't fly away too. I think the local grow superstore might have at least the pirate bugs, gonna zip over there and see.

Ugh

A great tech is to use fresh cut stems from your canna in the jars. Everytime you want more moisture, cut the stem in half and it will release more moisture.
cheers

but I don't always have plant material on hand so I use terracotta to rehydrate bud. works really well. you can buy RAW terracotta stones. I have terracotta disks that are really the saucers from small terracotta pots. Cheap and effective and always available.

Spread some sharp glass - no just teasing .......

Try some spreading some diatomaceous earth - then cover your soil with a blanket of fine steel wool - when the suckers fly out of the soil they will cut themselves up pretty good - if the dirt don’t get them the steel wool will - make sure it fine steel wool along with sticky traps and perhaps a trap lure and hand pick / brush others - pull pots and clean up good too of course ....

Also might remove inch or soil of soil and replaced entire top layer of mulch.

DE doesn't do anything when wet. Under the cover, everything is moist. I have considered removing the top inch...

make sure all holes, etc are taped shut, little devils must be slipping thru somewhere - I would for sure take the top layer and see what I can remove / replace and use some neem in new mix ..... good luck

The only openings (in the Jrs) are the slack around the main stalk.

Local grow shop had predators. Incoming 3 prong attack. I am going to completely forego spraying anything at all and see how these 3 predators do their thing.
