Mephisto Genetics White Crack and Kis Organics Soil

Oh yeah, my Forgotten Cookies and Purple Rolex are on day 2 and the Purple Rolex is still throwing just 1 true leaf. I am sure it will change in a couple of days. I started 2 of them, because the shells are so big and hard they take a little longer to get going. The second Purple Rolex is on day 1, and has the first true leaves in tack. I will grow both, sometimes the weird starting ones are gems. I might do that one in Coco, if it doesn't snap out of it. I don't want to use a ton of expensive soil on it, unless it is super healthy. The second 1 is doing great, it will be my Soil girl. But I have a feeling the Legend Berry OG is going to surprise us all and pass them up. That seed was planted yesterday. She is poking out the dirt already, she had a nice tail when I planted her. I also have a Cosmic Queen planted. She was cracked, but not tail. She will be above ground by tomorrow night. Need a a Faster Sativa Dom plant in the mix. I want to see how Cosmic Queen does in Kis Organics soil. My Roc Dawg Funk and Diesel Cookies are doing well, day 20. Will update pics I that thread tomorrow. Peacez slowandeasy

Any curl you see is from the tents Sucking in on the sides. I have to put some bamboo stakes in the sides to keep the sides from sucking in too hard. I also leaf tuck and that can cause leaves to look different. All is good. Very healthy and I will use the wife's iPhone later so we can see better.. peace, slowandeasy

Got ya .... Can you increase intake ventilation OR decrease exhaust ..... Perhaps unzip tent at bottom or turn down exhaust fan and open one of the side vents?

I just put 2 Bamboo stakes in the front and back part of that tent. I will pull the pot away from the far side a few incihes as well. This will prevent the sides of the tent from sucking into the plants leaves. I will cut a stake in half and use a peice each to put in the small sides of the tent. On a different note, the Seedlings are popping out of the starter mix. Purple Rolex, Legend Berry OG and Forgotten Cookies. I have Grape Rolex and Walter White soaking in water until tomorrow morning. Will plant them. Legend Berry is Fastest out of the gate. And 1 Purple Rolex has a single true leaf.

@RocBudInc , is a single leaf a common mutation with this strain? I have another one started with 2 Natural first true leaves. A days older. I could tell when I soaked them that the seeds were rather large and the shells looked harder than average seeds. So I put the second seed in water a day later. I typically see a cracked shell and or root tail. If they are not open within 36 hours, I plant them as is. I don't like to soak much longer than 36 hours in water. That is plenty of time and Moisture to kick start the Germ process. Once it starts a seed needs minimal moisture. I believe that many people kill seeds by keeping in wet paper towel or too wet during this phase.

Cool Beans - When you going to steal wife’s iPhone again?

The exhaust is doing all of the work for now. I have the interior fan off to germ these seeds. Another day or two. But I literally just put some Bamboo stakes for braces. Also, once she grows a little more I have a different oscillating fan I will use. I wont use my other Cob. The one is doing a great job and once she starts to Bud, I have a new light to try out. I bought it from Amazon. It has 4 adjustable/flexible "legs" , with LED lights on each leg. I envision them as being "UPSKIRT" Lighting. To bulk up all of the underside Growth. It is worth a shot, it wasn't expensive or anything. But I will wait for this plant to grow some first.

I have to let her fall asleep and borrow it. Ahe doesn't like me using her phone to take pics of my girlfriends, I mean plants. Hahaha
Guess I fell asleep too! I can use my son's phone, it's better than mine at least! Will add pics in a bit. Wife just left for the day.

I feel side lighting is a game changer. Especially for the big plants that some of us grow. I use cobs as side lights. They are individual cob/heat sinks on yoyo hangers that I can angle and aim into the lower canopy from the side. I feel you can get away with less defoliation, and reap bigger and better buds from the middle to the bottom. Side lighting makes laying branches out flatter with candy canes or staking super efficient. Light not only penetrates the side it is shining directly on, but also adds lumens to the opposite side in close to the mainstem.
I just use 1 cob as a side light, so part of my routine is to turn my plants a 1/4 turn 2x a day. With the 4 legs you have you get to pass on spinning platters.
cheers
