When Are Your Seeds Ready to Harvest

It is time to check the stinky seeds again today. They are Old Man's Skunk X Dairy Queen. I got rid of the male two weeks ago when I last checked the seeds. They were about 50% immature not enough ready for me to harvest. I will check them again today and report later.

Well about 60 % of the seeds have color and are ready to go. I will leave it outside another two weeks and check it again about the 7th of October. The mother is a Dairy Queen and she is starting to stink up fairly well. I wonder how much the skunk will chage the way the Dairy Queen smells I guess I won't know until next year when I grow the cross out.

I think I am going to like the stinky but who knows maybe not.

Someone like me, one of the original cheapskates just ask Muddy, is always interested in the cheapest.

Question on saving seeds:
Are seeds drying out OK after "hang dry" when they are in the cure jars? I have all the "loose" seeds drying but I'm sure there are still quite a few still in the buds - OK in the cure jars?
Thanks.

Never done a study on it but I am betting they will be fine.

I always cure my seeded bud. I collect all the seeds that fall out and label them in a bag then cure the buds with the remaining seeds and when finished I break all the seedy bud apart and store the best ones in another bag. I never have problems with the cured seeds (8/10 germ rate at the worst). And I roll the broken up bud into blunts but that part is up to you lol

I usually take the seeds out right away after i harvest and throw the seeds into a covered bowl until they dry out for a couple of days. I gotta cover the bowl at night time because the damn mice love em. They can go through a bunch overnight and just leave you the shells. I uncover the bowl through the daytime so the damp seeds don't mold. I throw the rest of the bud into my small bud bowl to make into oil.
