You could leave the door open while the lights are on but you need total darkness when the lights are off. Otherwise you risk light stress which can cause your plants to go hermie. I'd put in a 6" exhaust fan. Run a piece of ducting from the fan to a carbon filter, then from the filter to your hood. Draw the air through the hood, then the carbon filter, then out. That should take care of the heat and the smell.

you could vent into the room if you have a window open for fresh as for light leaks and hermi plant I do not actually know if these would effect an auto

you could get away with smaller duct with a 600w but the fan would have to be a good one

the whole in the door would mirror your duct size either 4" 5" 6" etc you would not need to cut holes if your door is left open but that is a security risk

If you have an attic or a loft, you could always extract air into there through the ceiling. Or you could spend a little more money and get a grow tent and stick it inside the closet. That way you can leave the closet door open but your plants will be zipped up in the tent, that way no unwanted light leaks in, and no unwanted smells leak out. In my opinion (which isn't the best of the best, I'm a new grower lol), I would try to use a tent, LED light set-up, and feminized seeds for your first run. These all are a little more expensive, but eliminates alot of smell, light, heat, sexing issues. Make it easy on yourself and your first harvest or two will cover the extra cost. I would also advise using a single strain on your first grow, just so they are relatively similar in feeding schedules and harvest times.

Thats sound real good the tent i will have to look in to that more. And i will go with a single strain i was thinking mi5 what do you think. And do these auto smoke like high grade are more like med. tell me more about the tent setup

Grow tents are made by alot of companies, my personal choice would be a tent from secret jardin or lighthouse hydro. They are already lined with Mylar to maximize light reflection and are very easy to set up. You will need to figure out which dimensions would best fit your grow area. Once you decide on a tent then you should pick out your lighting and fan+filter combo based on those dimensions. I suggest suspending your fan and filter from the ceiling of the tent so that air in sucked through the filter and exhaust is blow out by the fan. Depending on the size of the tent you could use passive intake or an intake fan. But if using hid lighting make sure you use a cool tube and seperate fan to extract the heat from the light. Make sure you have a small ocsillating fan in there as well. If I was you, I would keep on researching different grow methods and techniques. Lots of good beginner info here that will answer probably all of your questions, you just have to look for it. Check out the new growers forum and watch some YouTube vids on grow room set ups. Mi5 is a potent large auto that goes a little longer than most autos, mi5 has been discusses in these forums 100 times over as well

You want seedling compost and soak in wet tissue 24/48 hours then plant

Will 16x26w 5600k bulb be ok to grow 6 autoflower are i will need more light so is this 800 watt setup are i am way off
