Normally I have them multi-potted.
.
just this one was 3 males 1 fem..so she got the pot to herself.

Gotcha! ...like styrofoam. Is there any particular benefit, other than being light weight? If all had turned out to be females, would you have left them in the same pot together?

like styrofoam
.

Yup..thats it...

Is there any particular benefit, other than being light weight?

Selling point is that they Insulates the root from too much cold in winter and too much heat in summer.

Winter test says no particular difference..

But...

the guy in the head shop was using them for hydro...
and says he likes them..easier to fit the pipes..

I DO prefer a square planter because I multi-pot..
and you can space them better than a round pot.

Plus..these have a 12 inch drop..which is Perfect..IMO..

If all had turned out to be females, would you have left them in the same pot together?

Yup...7 Girls is about the most I have had in to get decent Yield..per pheno
(see below..)

But..

I have had up to 40 in..when I was pheno checking....:D

I put my 1.000 away 5 years ago and switched to a couple of 400s instead. Last year I retired the 400's and now I am totally CFL. Maybe next year I will be at least partially LED. Should I have a grow lights sale.

Previously...remote grow was:
1000 + 400 hps
Gal pots
Humboldt Soil
BioBizz nutes

Present:
400 hps
1.5 ltr pots (mostly)
'cept for an occasional gal....
Humboldt soil
BioBizz nutes
Tent w/ 2 - 200cfm-4" fans (int & exh)
Well water

Smokin ain't additive...but growing it IS !!!

uh...Bailer... when you say "home compost" you're not referring to the same stuff the ganja Dr's in Thailand use, are you? :o

I don't get around enough.. :o

Joe i add a bunch of stuff to my promix base. If you go to welcomeharvestfarm.com, i have played with allot of their stuff. Even if you don't buy their stuff you should see what they have, to try and source it locally. They know their organic's. I am about to try some of their "fix bone meal" It's new to me.

I add a bunch of that stuff to a 120L tupperware bin with the promix. Then i bubble a compost tea, pour that in to get the micro heard going. Once that sits for a week i plant into it. So easy, water only pretty much the whole grow. Except for compost teas.
