Right now I am using 250 watt hps
4" vortex fan
Supersun 2 air cooled hood
Multiple small fans.
4 gallon coolers
Floranova line nutes

Also use smart pots, airpots, and reg pots.
Soiless mix verm/perlite
Earth juice veg and bloom.

ninja, are you using the Blackstar? Btw, I like your line up... I love simple and easy. But, at 8.0 pH, my tap water needs some help, I think, before it gets to the soil mix.

My last set up will not be the same as my next set up. I'm evolving as my knowledge base does.

Next Grow:

250w 6500cfl wk 1-3, move to 400w HPS

In closet with door open (it's that or nothing :o )
12" osc fan blowing toward pots
16" osc fan pushing air between HPS and plants
20" 5000 cfm floor fan, mounted high and blowing out door

Rapid rooter 'til first set of real leaves, then place in Fox Farm Happy Frog in 16 oz beer cup. Re-pot or tier (not 100% sure yet) into Fox Farm Ocean Forest either individually, into 13" tall 3gal grow bags, or 18 gal Rubbermaid with multiple plants. Use either Fox Farm or Bio-biz nutes (again, not sure which) plus molasses after flowering. Beneficial microbes.

Main difference is in the first three weeks and better nutes. :peace:

2 26 watt UVB 20 supplementals
2.5 gallon water jugs (recycled)
started in 5 " deep 3.5 x 3.5" square pots
lights 20/4
bubbled rain water ph 6.3 - 6.5 after adjustments
Fox farm trio plus kelp/fish seaweed ferts and epsom salts and micro fungi (Root Drench)

90 CFM exhaust fan
(2) 7" oscillating cirulator fans (thermostatically controlled)

Yah I use nothing but Blackstar Led's. I was researching Led tech for quite a while once I started growing since I was a Lasers & Optics Major in college. I worked on semiconductor and laser research until I decided it wasn't the career I wanted. So I got with a few local growers with different gear and checked them all out for myself and guys............. It's the same guts 90% of the time. The only times there is something better inside a competing unit is completely overkill for the application. Like the Spectra series of Led's promotes how they have a finned heat sink for extra heat regulation. This is completely unneeded as my Blackstar and many other brands use just a flat piece of aluminum to anchor to as one big heat sink which handles it with no issues. Also some companies boast about being able to change spectrum's. This is also unnecessary as the flowering model I have works great in veg but KILLS in flower. So if you think about it, you are switching modes and turning other leds off while turning others on when you could just put in a decent mix of heavy reds with 20% blue for the veg and some UV and have them all turned on for the same drawn wattage. I've seen a lot so just steer clear of the Chinese stuff and your golden. Now I gotta jet and go water my ladies.:D

currently using rooter cubes in rockwool ,then covered in leca balls
in 4 inch net pot
5 of these sit in a 10 gallon DWC tote with 6" airstone
under 430w hps and 8 cfl s 6500k veg and 2700k bloom
r/o water ph d to 5.5
advanced nutrients hydroponic nutes
lights are on a 18 hrs on/6 hrs off timer from start to finish
power bill is up exactly $50 for a 30 day period

promix soil, home compost.
2gal grow bags
600watt hps
20/4
Alaskan fish ferts.

uh...Bailer... when you say "home compost" you're not referring to the same stuff the ganja Dr's in Thailand use, are you? :o

Plain potting/universal compo..square 25 ltr styrene pots..and sunshine..when it bothers to turn up....
